Dude, I wasn't calling the TA rice. I know they're quick cars, just like my SS. It's all just a matter of opinion. Some think a TA looks "agressive", I think it looks cheesy. I mean seriously, the rear wing on a Trans-Am really is bigger than the most of the wings teenie boppers put on their Honda's for which we constantly mock them.

Don't lie now. It's been quoted several times all ready. But here is one more anyway:

See, you did say it.

Well at least you typed something that makes sense and isn't directed towards starting a flame.

Didn't you say it looked agressive before?

Why yes you did.

That is absolutely false and you damn well know it. The Trans Am wing is no where near the height of the huge metal wings the kids put on thier imports. In fact, I bet it's not that much bigger(if any) then a Camaro SS's wing. But you probably have no comment about that.

There is nothing cheesy about the Trans Am. The real question is whether or not there is something fishy about the Camaro

T/A's are way too flashy for my taste. I think if the Trams Am and Camaro were prize fighters… it would be like this:

Trans Am = Mike Tyson (looks like a pitbull that's coming for your ear)

Camaro = Muhammad Ali (smooth talker with style and finesse who's gonna knock you out and take your woman)

'nuff said.

Definately not enough said. That was a horrible analogy. It would be more like this:

Camaro = Fast & nice looking muscle car that sounds good.

Trans Am = Fast & nice looking muscle car that sounds good.

Mike Tyson = Has been boxer with lots of personal issues.

Muhammad Ali = Very old boxer that looks like he took one too many blows to the head.

Ws6 is a package. You can have a car with Ram Air and no WS6, and you can have a car with WS6, and no Ram Air.

Also,
You can have a Formula with more options than the T/A.

Thank you captain obvious. But the WS6 "package" adds weight to the vehicle just as convertibles do. So a Trans Am will weight a little less then a Trans Am with the WS6 package.

And you can put in 500 lbs of aftermarket sterio equipment, so what? The WS6 package was more then ram air (and I use that term loosely). You could also get a Formula with a WS6 package (earlier years anyway) but that was not my point.

My point was that the Formula (non WS6) weighs slightly less. Order that same Formula with no power anything, hard top, cloth seats, ect and the weight difference grows even more since the Trans Ams (with or without WS6) came standard with alot of weight adding options.

I never said you couldn't. But you could also get a Formula with no options (stripper). The original point was that a stripper Formula does not weight that much more then a stripper Z28. Unless you can link me some credible source that shows a stripper Z at least 100 lbs lighter then a equally stripped Formula then my point still stands as being valid.

God I hate these threads...just pick the one that appeals to you. They both have the same performance potential...if you are really nit picky the Pontiac has a slightly lower drag coeffecient than a Camaro.

Dude, Darren, relax. They're cars man, cars. I respect the TA. I just prefer the SS. I stated why. No big deal. I didn't attack your sister or your mom. I didn't attack you. Hell, I didn't even attack your car. This is a thread about opinion and I stated mine clearly. And you've clearly stated yours. Over and over and over and over and over.

I love the chevorlet name cause i can say i own a chevy. but if i had to do it again n had more money, i would be driving a t/a with the ram air hood but insurance is more the interior to me is more comfortable for some reason?? but my z28 is bad *** because people dont know how fast it is cause it looks like a regular camaro people underestimate it but that isnt the case. haha alright but like everyone says its up to you good luck.

I had a z-28 and my little brother still has his ta, and personally I love the look of the t/a. But it has to have the ws6-package with the ram air kit, otherwise they are the same car.
