Some reasons I think this are, where in the market does it fall honestly? Prestige, it's still a chevy for price of a M5 or 911 name sells alot, and for people who want to race or be fast the z06 is a monster as is and viper is out as well.

the car would prolly be 100K or more, since dealers would mark that bitch up HARD! The GT500 is supposed to be 40,000 and its selling for 65-70. Now picture a limited production vett thats faster than any ferrari or lambo...... I smell expensive.

Ya i do think that is ridiculous the way dealers mark up so high there should be a limit. I mean damn if you wanna make it rich i guess grow up to be a Vette order all Z06 and mark each 1 up 20-30k its really BS. I cant believe that those kind of mark ups do not hurt Manufactur sales.

Actually there is a dealership here in MD that doesn't mark up their Vettes at all. Not even the z06. Heritage Chevrolet on Reisterstown Road. When I was looking at vettes they were the cheapest around and when I asked why... they're not allowed to mark up the Vettes. Owner of the dealership sells them for MSRP.
