difference between curb weight and gross weight??

Default difference between curb weight and gross weight??

ok everywhere i look i see curb and gross weight. can someone explain to me what the differences are among the 2.

* Curb Weight is the actual vehicle weight.
* Gross Vehicle Weight is the weight with an "avereage" load.

no more bitching that was > then the cars performance, means - the gf at 118 pounds, so curb weight + me at 180 is = to some bolt on mods people might have that i dont.....hmm gf=bolt on mods....time for smaller, quieter, gf....

well at the recycling depot near my house the weight of my car after dropping off junk is around 3640 lbs. I know I'm at least 225-240 lbs which puts my car's weight in the 3400 lbs range. Considering a loaded vette of the same year came in around 3100 lbs...

A loaded C5 is about 3200 curb, the z06's weigh 3118lbs.

ya in your door panel it should say gvwr weight or something like that, that means with all seats filled with average sized people, full tank of gas, oil, windshield washer fluid, tranny fluid, just everything full.. that is gross weight,, curb weight is your car just with no passengers, but i think it is still with it filled with all fluids i think..
