Here are some pictures of the flooring project I did this past week. I got tired of painting and repainting the floor so I went with some plastic floor tiles. Now I just want to get some new cabinets and the garage-mahal will be complete ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
All the boxes arrive:

Personally I prefer an epoxy floor, like UCoat-it. Like someone said.....what do you do if something spills? That's why I'd rather have an epoxy. When my house/garage finally gets built, I'm going for a black epoxy, with gold and red flecks, and trying to figure out how I can make a Pontiac arrowhead or firebird symbol embedded into the design.

Thanks for all the nice feedback
The floor had been painted with epoxy before and I would never do it again. No matter how good a job you do, the paint WILL come up from the tires of the vehicle, scratches from moving things etc. You can get a commercial epoxy application done which involves sandblasting the floor, using muriatic acid etc which will last longer but still come up in the majority of applications (check our car dealerships etc).
If you spill something, it drains through the tiles to the floor below. The tiles float above the floor on hundreds of pins. This keeps the top of the tiles clean and allows air to circulate under the floor to evaporate liquids. If you spill oil or something, just unsnap a few tiles and wipe up the mess and then snap them down again. You can even use a pressure washer on them.
The tiles are 2.98 each shipped so since they are 12 x 12... just under 3.00 a square foot.
It took about 12 hours to do the whole garage and a large part of that was taking all the crap out of the garage to lay down the floor! The tiles go together really easy.
