Default V6 F-body to LSx? Can it be done, how hard?

How hard would it be to convert a 98-02 F-body from the V6 to a V8 (LSx) setup? Same tranny, or not?

Any info appreciated, thanks!

(did some searching, no hits at all on this subject)

Absolutely, you will need to change almost everything tho, motor, tranny, driveshaft, suspension, electronics, cooling, blah blah. Check out the Hybrid section, you'll get all you need there.

Only if you love your car more than your significant other.

It's usually cheaper (and way easier) to just buy an F body with a V8
Unless the car has considerable sentimental value, your best best is to buy a V8

I don't see the point of swapping v8s into vehicles that can be bought with one.

S10/Rangers don't come stock with v8s so I can see swapping those.

But v6 mustang/camaros/fbirds are just a waste of time imo. Go buy it with the v8. It will save you alot of headache.

I could see it to get out of insurance but not worth the extra cost compared to what you would save on insurance unless you were a crazy driver!!!

Not worth my time anyways.
