But then again the ls1 is pure raw old school n/a muscle.... any questions??

and a good heat exchanger but all things considered the cobra is a great car to mod its more like a modern day supra. In the end if you have the money for power ( i.e nitrous for ls1 and s/c upgrades for cobra) then it pretty much breaks even. Iwould then think it goes personal preference, i like the cobra's interior better and the exterior ( slightly).

back when i had the cobra i spent like 2k on a pulley, catback, programer, and intake. even with that ls1s with exaust and spray were pulling me. next i was gonna go kenne bell or something. a cobra cant bite for **** with irs. all the horsepower in the world cant help you if you dont hook. thats why i went the f body route. 16k for the car then u do blower and storker for 10k and your right at the cost of a cobra new with 600 rwp

Um....I don't know what you guys are talking about with "better" made car. Have you ever seen the interior? Cheap hollow two-tone plastic and everytime you shift you hit the panel. Not only that but you can BARELY reach the radio buttons no matter how you position the seat either your too close to the steering wheel or the pedals or you can't reach the buttons and they aren't lucky enough to have the cool steering wheel controls we have. Well anyway theres a reason I chose my T/A. I like it better then anything Ford could ever make and will continue to no matter how much power you can force out of the little 4.6 by adding a pulley.

um yea that would be personal preference, i just dont care for the seats that much in a ls1 it reminds me of early 90's. But like it or not ( because god knows i don't) that little 4.6 produces ridiculous amounts of horsepower have you ever seen what a 3k kenne bell can do on a cobra?

^I meant fit-finish, not ergenomics. I hate mustang (pre 05) ergonomics. I will say, at the 6 hour mark in my TA on my thanksgiving road-trip my lower back hurt. Walking 5 minutes at a gas station fixed that. Got 25.6mpg/27.5 mpg/24mpg on 3 150ish mile segments I checked it in. NO CLUE why I got 24 the last time, maybe I entered some erronous numbers as I forgot my true mileage at that point and all that. I dunno. Oh, my IAC hung up near the end of my 600 mile trip and this morning I removed/cleaned it with carb cleaner, works great now. Oh, used 1/8 qt oil on the trip and 1/4 qt total so far 1200 miles. M1 10-30 EP. Going GC next. I guess what im trying to say is...my 95 TA (25mpg) and my 01 WS.6 were/are great and I love em...grass is always greener though lol

It can give you a daily driver that behaves just like stock that
can trap 134mph on 17" drag radials.
Do we really need another one of these threads?

I would agree with what everyone has said about personal preferance. I personally like the way the f-bodies look, and the drivetrain is awesome, but I think the Cobra is overall a higher quality car. I have driven a few F-bodies, ranging from a 1991 to a 2002, and other than differences in power and design, they are pretty much the same.. Same rattles, same wind noise, same short roof, etc... I love Chevrolet, that's all I have ever owned, but if I personally ever have a ls1 in anything, it will be a transplant...
