Default 30 thousand

Today, Sunday the 26th of November, 2006, at 10:34 a.m., my beautiful car hit 30,000 miles. I was sad to see it happen. I've always been proud of the low miles on my baby, and I know they are still relatively low for an '02, but I still cringed as I watched it roll over.

My current car will go over 30k in about 5 years at the rate I'm putting miles on it. She sits with 25,600 now. Last year at this time she sat with 25,000

I figure I have until the spring of 2011 to prepare myself for the "30k it's not new anymore" feeling. After that I'll probaly let the dog ride along.

I know but how does she run with that many miles? I assume it is the original engine/trans? Any signs that she is going? I had an 1994 Z with 108k and she was starting to show signs of going. burning some oil etc... Now I know the LT1 is a completly different engine but I was just curious.

Pushed over the 30k mark at the start of summer. At a little over 32k as it sits now, and it will stay there until around April of 2007. One of the good things about putting it up for the winter time is keeping the miles off of it.

Well actually its the 2nd motor and 3rd tranny! Basically my original tranny went at 100k, so I had a stock rebuild on it then. My engine was leaking oil through the actual block from pours in the casting that I was made aware of after a Ported LS6 pump. The engine ran great the entire time it was in the car, but I had it pulled at 138k and the new one put in simply because of the leak, at that time I wanted a stronger tranny so I upgraded to a Stage II with a deep pan, cooler, and SSF 3500.

I'll probably be hitting 30K sometime between the summer of 2020 to 2022. 15 years away and it already bothers me.
