At school I usually park far away or near other f-bodies, Vettes, Stangs, etc. and they usually do the same. Its at shopping centers where I have the worse luck. One time when I went to run in to get Starbucks this idiot parks their burban so close to my car and crooked that I had to get in from the other side. I really wanted to just grab a bat or something, but luckily I calmed down. Thats pretty much my biggest pet peeve.

Yea I know what you mean, it seems like SUV's are the worse with not being able to park straight, And I hate it when you park with at least 5 spaces away from everyone and someone parks right next to you when all those spaces you left open are still open.

I even try to park my daily drivers away from the "herd" in a mall type of situation. I like to keep all my cars as nice as possbile, and would rather walk the extra 100 feet than pick up a new door ding. I'm serious about health and fitness though, so walking is fine by me.
But you are right, even when you try to stay away from other cars, the bad apples tend to follow.
I think it's great when other "nice" cars park around me though. Makes my car feel warm and safe. lol.

The thing is that alot of people, more than not sadly, just view their vehicle as a form of transportation, and could care less about anything else. Alot of the guys at my work are like that, they just don't give a **** about their ride. There are several of them that will bump eachother in the parking lot and on the road right beside the plant, while waiting at a stoplight. They just laugh like it's nothing!
I once told them if they EVER did that **** to me in either of my vehicles...car in sig and 00 ext cab Z-71.....that I would drive one of my dads farm beaters and go demolition derby on their ***!
Back on topic here....I always park as far away as possible as well. I have learned some things though by sitting in my car/truck parked way out...since I have dark tint noone realizes that I am in there, and even though I am way out away from the other cars, people will cut across the parking lot and whizz by my **** within feet! And WHY??? There is the entire lot and they drive RIGHT by!
So what I have found to work well is park either by a pole, or along the outside row of parking spots. Cause sadly enough just being out in the middle alone isn't good enough.

Prevoius post just gave me an idea about the light tint i have on my TA, im going to find me one of those police mannequins and let it ride in the back till i park and then buckle him in my drivers seat so people think you are just sitting in the car. LOL, Nobody would even know the difference with the tint and if i put a ball cap and sunglasses on him, maybe for intimadation they will think twice about dinging my door if it looks like he is holding a pipe or 2x4!!!!!!!!! LOL

it pisses me off when someone parks so close you have to shimmy into the car because you cant open the door all the way...you would think people would realize our doors aint that short...

^^^ true.. people can be be real inconsiderate. that has happened to me before..
I've never had to actually get into my car from the other side.. that would just be insane on the part of the other driver who must clearly be retarded...
but I've definately had to squeeze in with the door barely opened while balancing it to not accidentally ding my door on the ******* door who caused the issue.
