Guess there must be something about the F-body that keeps people coming back.
FWIW, I would love to get a C6 someday, but I doubt I'll be selling my Camaro to get it. At this point it's very unlikey that I'll ever own a C5 though.

The LS1 C5 was nice, and a better car in every way than the Z28, but to me it wasn't 20k better...

Dude, if you want a smooth riding moderately priced LS-motored car, don't overlook the 2003-2004 C5 coupes with the optional Magnetic Ride suspension. I have one, and it is like a Cadillac compared to a Z51 or Z06. Just put decent rubber and swaybars on it, and you have the best of both worlds. These magnetorheological shocks were so far ahead of their time, that only now is Ferrari using them on their megadollar 599.

Keep the SS, you're just going to end up dumping time and money into any Vette you get. Since you're still in school, I would keep the SS until you graduate and get a solid job. Then you can get whatever you want. It doesn't make sense to get a Vette now though.

I pay more on my insurnace for my GTP than we do on our TA because I am the primary driver, and wear a size 14 shoe.

i say u had a great idea with the GTO thing. im a chevy guy all the way, but a goat would be a great dd with the ss u have! I mean the seats in the back are actaully functional, not just for insurance purposes like the f-bods, and the interiors are nicer, almost vette like. I say that would be my choice if i found a goat within reason!

There are a couple 06 GTO's in my area going for $23K with only a few thousand miles on the clock so id say go GTO and keep the SS if you still love the car. If the SS is too much and you want it gone then get the c6 but I say keep the SS and get a GTO like others have said. Thatw ay to have a nice, quick ls2 DD in the GTO and a track/cruising car for the weekend in the ss.
