Is there a relay or fuse or something for the injectors?

I doubt a fuse would be the issue. They are either blown or they're not. None of that intermittent stuff, unless maybe there was a loose connection.

Relay would be more likely, for an intermittent condition. Frankly I've never replaced/pulled an injector fuse or relay, but if it's anywhere I'd assume that it's in one of the two fuse blocks under the hood on the driver's side where the FP relay is. At least that's where I'd look for it.....

So the fuel pump relay is a relay, NOT a fuse? sorry to be dense Ummm...I guess I will just have to replace it, no testing an intermittant issue. How much $$ 5? 10?

i would most likly say fuel filter mine did the same thing .drive fine until you got about 60-65 and if i woud nail it it would hit about 5k and just bog like you wasnt even flooring it .i did a fuel pressure test and changed the filter and it was good as new.i could be wrong but i think the fuel presure should be around 80 on the ls1 cars .i wouldnt swear to it thaugh

Mine goes to redline fine, then it dies cruising at 1500rpm. Or it wont start, or something else. This is not a starvation up-top issue at all.

PS. why is it shitted up after 5K miles!?

The relay next to it is for your air cond, just do a swap to see if that helps.

I didnt read the whole thread so I dont know if someone already mentioned this, but have you taken a look at you MAF? Also do you have a K&N filter and have you cleaned it lately? Sometimes the oil will get on those little resistors on the MAF and can give you some headaches

Just read more of the thread. There is a good possibility that it is you TPS. I had a 98 wrangler that the TPS started going out and it would surge and cut out similar to what you are experiencing

GM part # 12088567
GM list price: $19.59

It is a relay, not a fuse. It is the same as the A/C relay, as listed above. You could just swap the two around in your fuse block as mentioned.

I've never seen them at a parts store, may have to go to the dealer. I am just suggesting to check to see if you need to buy one, by switching the fuel pump relay with the air cond relay (same part number and they're next to each other). You probably don't need the air cond this time of year, drive it with them switched for a day or two to see if the problem still exist if it goes away buy a new relay.

Air filter and fuel filter have less than 6K miles on them. I will do the fuel filter tomorrow, my dad wanted to see/do it so he could appraise if he thought it was the issue or not.

It's hot out, but I may be able to drive at night without the AC. I will swap it and go for a drive here in a littlewhile maybe. If not, tomorrow morning.

On FI thirdgens there is an oil psi sensor if it reads near 0 psi will cut power to the pump so as to save the motor if the oil pump dies. I don't know if LS1's would have this feature but if they do I know if the sensor is going bad or the wires have a short it could cut out on you. My friends T/A did the same thing on hard turns and decel, it was way low on oil and when the oil sloshed away from the pickup the car would die, no codes. I doubt GM removed this safety feature for newer motors, but I am new to LS1's so don't flame me!
