I dont know guys, if I had a built 5.0 that I couldn't get out of the 14's, then an 01 WS6 that ran like ****, I might be paranoid about modding too lol. J/K BlkWs6, dont worry about it, throw the lid on and be done with it. If your that scared of doing stuff to the car for fear of breakage, maybe you should get something else.

Meh, it woulda run a mid/high 13 on a tire. My 60's were HORRID and I was on M&S rated tires made by Cooper, lol.

Whats up with calling my WS6 a lemon? The same ppl calling it a lemon told me water/fuel/wheel bearings were all normal maintenance on these cars? I am now confused...

you wont get 10whp on just a lip, you might if you get the K&N filter to go along with it.

no your car is not a lemon, were just ******* with you. yes thoes things are normal maintenence. but you take normal maintenence to extremes. like asking if a lid will lean out your mix. if it did, almost everyone on here would have to have their cars tuned after a lid....... and lids wouldnt be considered "first mods". anyways, the reason i sparked to topic about you being an automotive hypochondriac is because every time i get on here i see you have a new problem with your car, and a lot of times its somthing that is *normal*, and i use that term loosely, that you take as a fatal problem to your car.

Meh, will SOMEONE from LS1tech PLEASE! look at my car so you can see that it is mint inside, outside, underneath, internally. I have had the car all apart. It was owned by some old guy who never did anything but garage it and drive it sunday mornings. The differential gears look PERFECT, the stock tq arm doesnt even have fatigue or stress cracks, the windshield doesnt even have a scratch on it, ect. ect. ect.

ANyways, yeah, I hopes its all just simple stuff. has anyone here read "From a Buick 8"-Stephen King?

Anywho, sorry, I am not a really sarcastic person and I fail to grasp it often.

I'm confused, I just seen the other thread, where you said your done with that car and want to sell it. Are you having that much trouble with it? You gotta remember that your buying a used car dude, with 70k miles. Thats not high mileage technically, but the car HAS been driven. Things are gonna *** up.

The car is 6 years old...things are going to need to be replaced. Seriously you are going to have a heart attack if you ever mod the thing, keep it stock. After my headers and cam install there were soooo many noises coming from the car that I think you would have a heart attack if you ever heard it coming from your ws6 (all normal valvetrain/exhaust noises). Just fix the maintenance items you need to be fixed and the car will treat you plenty well. Then mod the **** out of it down the road when you have more cash and learn to LOVE the random noises a modded car makes!

I am fully aware of a cammed up car with heads and the mad valvetrain noise it makes. My 5.0 had a .542 lift cam and roller-rockers along with a lot of other stuff.

Anywho, car will be fixed soon (week or two) and I will be back to singing its praises im sure.

Haha thats the spirit! Hopefully they will be able to figure everything out. BTW did you ever get that othe problem fixed with the car dying due to an electrical problem or something like that or is this the same problem still?

I belive that is the fuel-pump going bad. Every time it dies I have no fuel in teh rails. Then when it randomly starts again there is fuel, I shut if off and KOEO it and there is fuel pressure in the rail. It is definitely a fuel issue and I belive its a dying/dead pump. Everything else has been exhausted. new fuel and water pump going on ASAP.

A lid is a dangerous first step.....it leads to nothing except more modding. ......

Relay swapped, fuel filter isnt 100% occluded and then 100% open within 5 minutes. Its not the filter or relay.
