That not legal here, the law specifically states the front most part of the car, im sure it does in other states to, as for the OP, you should be thanking that cop not calling him a bitch.

I know they were trying to pass a law in early 2006, that would require only rear plates but, sesion or whatever it's called expired. dont know if it eventually passed or not but, wouldn't do no harm in finding out. txdot.gov I think or something like that is web site. some times cops will give tickets and peeps wont contest them for some reason or other and mail payment instead. something to think about or look into.

Good to hear!

Yeah, cars look better w out front plates no question. But this is easy enough to fix. I'd probly go get a bracket, and keep it after u show it...in case u find yourself in this position again, or a friend does. Afterthaughts auto (sponsor) sells the bracket that mounts under the bumper also.

the best way i have found to deal with a no front plate is registar your car in michigan if you do that you can also get rid of your converters, and don't have to worry about inspections

Wow after posting on this thread i got pulled over. 84 in a 45. My speedo is way off with the new rear end, it said i was doing 50. The cop was real cool after he felt up my junk and found out i was in the military. He could have taken me to jail, impounded my car, and fined me up the ***, but he used to own a modded 99 ss and just told me to keep it down a little bit and have a good night. That other cop was deff not a bitch cop u got it off easy. Same as me and im very thankfull for that part. So quit and be happy that u got off that easy. By the way zip tie it on there then cut it off after court.

there was no traffic to really help me guide the speed. i knew i was doing faster than 50 but 84 seemed a little unreal to me. Guess it could have been that i just got the new rear end in yesterday, after the car was sitting for 3 weeks and couldnt help but test it out a little too

dude be thankful that he didn't **** you over, i was in your situation and now i'm sitting without a license for 1 year and a 350$ fine because i was street racing, theres plenty of ways your can make a custom bracket to hold a license plate up with some tools from home depot and take it off after you show the cops.

Most states require front plates the just started requiring them here in Ohio about 2 years ago but it is not something you can get pulled over for its kinda like an add on if you are speeding and don't have a front plate they can get you for that to. just zip tie it to the grill or something and take a picture to show them then take it off. I use to carry my front plate around in my back seat so if i got pulled over I would say it fell off.
