full bolt-on owners only please

Best I have gotten w/ A4 2.73 is 26.99mpg. I only have LM and air filter. That was with cruise set between 55-60 though because of weather with not 1 wot. Trip was like 240 miles.
I don't even know how you guys can get under 200 mpt when near stock or just bolt ons. Hell, for me to get under 200 mpt I have to really get on it at every other light.
As for this air fuel debate, how is it that forced induction cars get better mileage on the highway?

A4 Z28; full bolt-ons, literally everything intake exhaust, suspension, weight reduction; only 372 miles to a total of 15.5 gallons burned ONCE.
I drove non-stop, at night, stopped once for gas and again once at the end to measure total fuel consumed. I measured as well as I could and I got exactly 24 miles per gallon, at 75 mph constant.
That was 2 meaures. 3.23 gears.
C5 got 28 mpg in the same exact conditions stock, while my Z06 again identical conditions got 30 mpg stock if you are looking for a comparison.

Yeah when on a long trip it is nice especially with an 18 gallon tank.
The C5 with the auto only got 4 mpg once when it took 15 minutes to drive my wife 3 miles to work though...
Normally ~15 mpg and 8 minutes. Stupid traffic on base in the morning.
As a note though our Scion xB only gets 22mph (norm is 30 with city use).

200-220 sounds like he is running jusssst a little messed up considering he only did a lid and LM.
Did you remember to reinstall the IAT sensor into your lid when you installed it? That could be the problem. Mine fell out and I only got 150 miles to a tank once.
Either that or he is running 10.2 gears or something...

Maybe if he was running a gear splitter (8-speed auto) and had 2.73 gears, and never stopped once, and it was at night, with aero-upgrades, and a new super small cam.
I dunno a 66.66666% increase in fuel economy could happen.

didn't read all the jibberish between but 500 to a tank even all on the highway cruise set in a M6 sounds rediculous. I regularly pull 255 per tank mostly city driving. I believe the best i've gotten is around 25mph or so

I can fill up near my house and go from there to my college (approx. 150 miles) and use less than a 1/4 tank. I usually get 250 to a tank if im driving kinda hard, and around towns and the hilly area where my school is. I drove from where i bought the car in VA to where i live in NY (it was like 400miles) and i did it on one tank, but i was on E when i got close to where i live. All i have for bolt ons are lid, filter, LM

If conditions were right I think you could get 450 miles with no stops and cruise set at 70 mph. I don't think you could get 500 miles unless you were willing to push it at least 40 miles.
