Why did you choose one F-Body over the other?

I like them all.. If I had unlimited funds it would in this order: (ls1's)
Camaro SS (they just seem the most intimidating, and simple)
Firebird Formula WS6 (simple, badass, rare)
TransAm WS6 (pretty flashy, but still sick.. maybe more female pulling)
Firebird Formula (simple, rare)
Z28 (again simple, easy to make into SS)
T/A (still a nice car)
I bought the Z28 becasue it was the cleanest affordible ls1 I found at the time I needed one

I have had 2 camaros and 2 trans ams. I have always been more of a trans am person, mainly due to the look. It just looks meaner. I now have an 02 SOM SS and it doesnt feel the same as my 99 t/a.

Around here you see more vettes than f-bods. but then again there is a vette every 30 seconds. (no joke) I guess thats what you get for living in a rich suburb of Flint where everyone is GM retirees haha.
I chose the SS because I've always been a chevy fan and had a love for camaros. But when i was looking I would have taken a firehawk or a c5 vette. I'm planning on in a few years trying to find a firehawk. I love the clean look that they have. (same goes for formulas). The ws6 is such a busy looking vehicle, although mean doesnt have that classy badass feel the SS and firehawk give off.

I was looking at a 99' GT at a dealer when i found my car kind of by accident. A friend of my boss, also ex-neighbor, had it and wanted a little more for it than the GT, but i had always wanted a red LS1 TA, so I eventually got it. I do wish i had found this site first though because i def overpayed for my car but its done now

1) It's a Chevy and a Camaro, pretty much a legend, and it looks sweet. Also love the factory body kit.
2) Hate the rear spoiler on the TA/firebord. It's always looked like they couldn't figure out how to make it look good without it being the same as the Camaro so they just said f' it, that'll do. It has to be the about the ugliest spoiler I've ever seen on any car. IMO it ruins the whole car.

Only ******** drive Firebirds.
So I decided at the time I only needed one ******* so I bought a Camaro instead of another Firebird/*******.
Than I sold my older Firebird, realized I didn't have an ******* anymore and bought a C5.
Since it was a Pewter convertible I thought my ******* was to pretty to be seen flirtin' around Albuquerque and bought a Black Z06.
Now I have a big, black, 405 hp *******.
Sometimes 50 year old generals wave at me and I begin to feel uncomfortable.
In reality I thought the 4th gen Pewter Camaro Z28 I was looking at was a beautiful car and was more sophisticated looking than the 4th gen Firebirds sitting next to it.

I used to love the looks of the Camaro until the LS1 version. I'm not a fan of the front end. It reminded me of a Chrysler Concorde so much that when I saw either car coming towards me I would have to wait till I get real close to know which car it was.
So my vote was the catfish because that's closest to the reason I got the Pontiac.

My first car was a 3.8 camaro, dont get me wrong, i loved that damn car.but then i traded the camaro in and bought a WS.6 i think a trans am looks much meaner and has a lot more "curves" to it. it will be my favorite forever.

I chose T/A over Camaro for a few reasons. First, for every 50 Stangs I see, I see 5 Camaros, for every 20 Camaros there is 1 Firebird. Second, like stated above, the LS1 Camaro front end is . Had they dropped an LS1 in the 93-97 body, things might be different. And finally, I wasn't in the mood to buy a high performance vehicle like the Camaro just to have people behind me think I'm driving a Chrysler Sebring. I spot F-bods pretty well and even I do this all the time and I know others here do too. Can only imagine how often it happens to a non-enthusiast.

WTF is wrong with Sebrings? Oh yeah, they suck (I gave mine away).
Chryslers look like Camaro's not the other way around!

I purchased a Black on Black 2002 Trans Am WS6. I wanted I had a 3rd get camaro, I liked it but was spending to much money on it trying to get more hp. So I bought the TA, Don't see many around were I live, looks that drops the panties, and its got an LS1. I love my choice. I just wish I has tons on money to build on up to the limit and one just to keep stock and keep the mileage low and sell it in 20yrs on Barrett Jackson for MAD $$$$$$

I got a TA because they just look so much nicer to me. The lines are a lot better in my opinion. There's just more to the car. Also, they look quite similar to my previous car, a 3000GT VR4. The lines are very similar overall (I still like 3000GTs better in the looks department though ). The Camaro just looks too plain for my tastes. I do like Camaros too, but just not nearly as much as TAs. For what it's worth, I also think regular Firebirds look too plain.
The only time I truly *loved* the look of a Camaro was when I saw someone selling a navy blue metallic Z28 with the RS body kit and an SS hood, along with 18" C5 Z06 rims, lowerd and tinted. I could probably find a picture of that car again if I tried. But that's just too much stuff to have to add to a car for me--and I still would rather have a stock TA over that Just my preference though.
