I got a Camaro because I liked it. It is more muscle and classic IMO. I love the look of a slightly lowered T/A. It definitely owns as far as looks. When it comes to owning the car for the looks, I sold my SS hood and opted out of that. I always get stares, but it isn't because of the looks. It is because the Longtubes, !CATs, !Muffler dumped exhaust. hehe I love these cars.

I like trans am but choose a camaro because
1. I hate flip up headlights they look like **** flipped up
2. I dont like the way the rear end looks, quater panels, wing and the rx7 style tailights.
3. Its a Pontiac

I share these thoughts also but i daily drive my Trans Am while my SS just sits pretty in my driveway. The Camaro rear end owns all cars on the road

Ooookay, I chose my SS over a T/A...for the following reasons:
1)I do NOOOOT like the flip-up headlights!
2)I think the T/A's *** looks...wierd.
3)I see waaay too many of them on the streets.
4)Almost all of the drivers, are girls...I like to be different.
5)I've always preferred the overall physique of the Camaro. It's less flash, more muscle.
When it came to getting an f-body, I never even gave a thought to looking at a T/A. Not to say that I don't like T/A's, I think they're cool cars, just not for me.

I voted all LS1 F-bodies kick *** because I didn't get my camaro for the hardtop, lighter weight, or cost. I got it because I think it looks more sleek and intimidating vs flashy. I do admire the T/A though and wouldn't have any real issue with owning a pontiac despite all the jokes I've heard. All f-bods DO kick ***.

I bought the camaro because it's has low mileage, is loaded minus the m6, and costs 3-4k less then comparable firebirds in my area, I like the way the birds look except for the ghetto booty its sporting I was actually looking for a trans am, or formula prior to finding my current Z the WS6 has a little to much going on for me, all fbody's rock hard though

I got one of each right now. but I do like the firebirds much better. Better seats and better looks. The bad thing is pop up headlights, but its kinda cool too.

Your poll is missing an option: In a nutshell, Camaro looks better than Firebird / TA. Let me elaborate. The Camaro has always had a cleaner, more classic styling. The Firebird / TA has always tended to be a little flashier, more trendy. If that were not the case, I think they would've had "The Bandit" driving a Z28 instead of a black Trans Am with a gold bird on it. 
Anyway, the Camaro styling tends to wear well with age. The TA always looks more dated than it's same age Camaro brother. I don't know about the rest of you but, as many car shows as I've been to I always see tons of 1st and 2nd gen Camaros, not so much with the Firebirds / TAs.
So, to sum up, I've always liked the Camaro styling better than the TA. That's why I chose a Camaro over a Firebird / TA.

i have had 2 TA's and now a camaro, i typically like the ws6 better but fell in love w/my car and had to have it. Oh and i couldn't find a bird with 8k miles on it either like the ss had.

I would of gotten a T/A, but they aren't any faster than a camaro, just look a bit better. I wasn't about to spend a few more grand on one because of that. buuuuut I think I might get one of those too now that i have the camaro

well right before i got my camaro i found a black 96 t/a for around the same price and all the same options except it was completely stock. called the guy and it had already been sold so i wound up with the camaro. like em both and i love the paint on my car but a black t/a will always be my favorite.

well i'm gett'n a camaro because it's less flash more muscle i dont need a big spolier and huge hood to get looks (i would have a t/a just dont like the body as much so dont think i'm hate'n on the trans am) and my dad has had a 69 camaro for a long time and i also have a 68 firebird. i just like the less as more factor of the camaro
