Reading this just made me feel alot better about the 98 m6 TA I just bought with 147k on it. Southern car (no rust under it anywhere!), previous owner claims past 60k are mostly highway miles. Still has 35-42 psi oil pressure hot at idle and 60-65psi at 5k. Running 5w-30 mobil 1 synthetic high mileage with a half quart of lucas synthetic additive. I want to do some mods but have been hesitant because of mileage, seems like fairly low mileage after seeing this haha I remember back when my old 00 TA had 32k..I think this 98 runs about as good

There is a customer at my job that has just under 400k miles on her 98 z28 ls1 m6. Last time she came in it had 382 and change that was about 2 months ago.

For non fbodies we also have an avalanche with 640k miles on it. Both vehicles have original motors. The avalanche has only replaced the alternator and waterpump everything else is stock.

my old man had a 1995 Caprice Classic, that he sold with 440,000 kms (roughly 275k miles)
the guy he sold it to has put on about 200,000 kms (120k miles) and the thing is still going strong....

I see it on the road every once and a while....

never not once had to rebuild the tranny or GM's finnest 10 bolt

also never had to replaced the window motors either, 2nd owner bought with 75,000k

interior is peechy no rips or tears not even torn torn headliner

How do you put 75,000 miles on a car in 1 yr??? If the guy worked ur average 5 day work week and strictly drove just to work (just per say) thats almost 300 miles a day!

I like reading some of the posts from 2007 talking about how many miles they have and then looking at there signature and seeing they have sold the cars or in one guys case he had his high mileage fbody stolen...

Default 214k

I put 214,000 on the original L98/700R4 drivetrain! I'm an original owner. That's me in the sig at Road America the last day I drove it; yes, I drove it home from the track, too. In process of LS2 swap now.
