There are a few naive posts here, Cobra's are great cars, fast, good quality, and respond very well to mods. If I could afford one (college student), I'd get one, they just look sick. SS's are nice, but its not like the old days where there werent many, there are plenty around and in the end its just a car. I vote Cobra.

Well, I think I am going to stick with the SS for now. I work as a temp in game testing, so I think I will go for the Cobra when I get perminet (whenever that may be). I am going to be getting a cam with my tax return, so I figure I won't want to sell my car then.

You beat me too to it though jewbacca I would say with a cam you'll easily be as fast as a cobra and save alot of money. I love mustangs but the Cobra's are way to pricey when you can get a decent mileage F-body for half the price and make it just as fast for under a grand if you do things right.

Holly crap your insurance is high I drive an 03 cobra which is in the same bracket as a viper and I only pay 170 and I'm 21. Funny thing is if I went to a vette my insurance would be cheaper.

Park the SS next to a Cobra, our interior room sucks, but a Mustang is worse.
Look under the hood, it may be hard to work on some parts of an SS, but a Mustang really sucks!!!! Plus there have been constant issues with alot of 4.6's, not to say they aren't stout motors, could have just been a bad run. But one of my old friends was a Ford tech in town and told me about all the 4.6's they had to swap under warranty due something breaking. Other than that it comes down to preference. Drive em both and figure out if treason and selling your soul is worth driving a Ford

I'm 100% Chevy/GM. Seriously I would get the Cobra. You will be able to get another LS1 car in a few months/years for under $5500. I have 2 F-Bodies and our interiors are by far the worst i have seen. The03-04 supercharged Cobra is the only Mustang I would consider getting.

My suggestion given your situation would be to keep the SS and
throw some $$$ into it when the time is right for you financially.
There is nothing cheap about modding Cobras.

you could have 900 hp and have no torque.....like having two big nuts and nothing to get off with
if you didnt have a blower on that car youd be making around 250......and my 315 flywheel is actually around 345 to the wheels...bolt ons
thanks for playing

ls1's have so much more potential! keep the ss for sure, dont turn to the dark side of the force Luke, jk! just do what you want man, if you want your Camaro, then keep it. if you want a Cobra, then get one! they are both fast cars with a lot of potential, cant go wrong either way
