You know, in all my years of driving fast cars (had a 94 cobra when i was 19, a 2003 cobra when i turned 20 and im 21 about to get a Z06) ive never gotten a ticket in ANY of my fast cars ever. You should seriously spend 300 on a GOOD radar detector and learn to slow it down a bit. Think 300 is a bit much for a detector? Wait till you see what you pay for ONE of those tickets. Im a delivery boy (have a beater) so i need one by default.

Most of the people here are old and will tell you to slow the **** down. I don't drive like an idiot at all but do punch it here and there. Just learn about the area around you and find good roads and places to have fun with the car.

I had worse luck. I got pulled over 3 times in 3 weeks by the same cop. This was when I was 18 and didn't have a camaro. 2nd and 3rd time was speeding and I got the ticket the 3rd time. It was really dumb of me and I was young. I told him I was late getting home. It was like 12:03. He didn't give a crap after pulling me over for the 3rd time. I didn't get pulled over for 3 years and I bought my camaro recently and got pulled over 10 minutes after I bought it. I was following my dad, yet he somehow decided to pull me over. hmmmmm, anyways, I lost my dad and we had a very long road trip home and I just needed to catch up and I did. 5 minutes later I saw the lights, flashed my military ID and the prior coast guard officer told me to have a nice day and gave me a verbal warning! Talk about good luck!

Try a radar detector, but it's not a guarantee for no tickets...just remember that! Cops here have their radar off and turn it on for a split second to get ur speed and turn it off. Impossible to beat that unless there are other cars in front or behind you.

I was stopped three times in three days by the same town. Carol Stream, IL. Anyway, I got tickets the first two days but the third day I scored big and the cop had an emergency call and let me go. First day was overpacing a stop sign second day was speeding and the third day (no ticket) was for loud exhaust.

Not that i'm helping this guy or agreeing with his heinous crime of cruising, but do you have an F-body? I mean really, it happens, if you let the car do it's thing, not even getting on it, you cruise smooth at 80, so i understand not realizing you're going that fast, and if it's 55, that means it's an open highway where you could have safely done 100, correct? radar detectors ARE NOT 100% effective.....got pulled over for going 85 in a 55 with a very expensive radar detector on the windshield. came around a bigass mountain and it couldnt pick up the radar until i was right next to the cop, he was nice and let me off though. anyway, the only way to avoid it is to slow down altogether man. if you're gonna have fun with the car, just be smart about it

I have a loud TA and a ford taurus, i never get stopped in either but then again i rarely go more than 10 over the limit on the highways. On the 70 roads i set the cruise on 79 and dont even slow down when i see the cops hiding, they never come after me. Once you go over 10 over you usually get stopped, i did get stopped last year I had the cruise set on 80 and the car sped up on a hill and I didnt slow down, I got
