These cars are meant to be driven...all cars are meant to be driven..what other purpose do they serve?
Well when he 1st got it he actual drove er a lil but then kinda stoped after about the first 250miles then he figured sence it was one of the last made being a 2002 35th he figured it would gain a lil w/ the low miles... that didnt turn out as planed

Yep, pretty much. I take it out on nice days and that's it. That's why it still looks/runs/drives like brand new after 9 years.

Not everyone *needs* to drive their car every day in all sorts of weather just to enjoy it.

Why buy a car and not drive, i mean they it will be worth a lot in the LONG run, but you never got to enjoy it. Makes no sense to me.

Put it on jackstands and save the suspension/tires. If he's storing it for the $$$ down the road, it will be worth a lot more if it has the original tires that aren't all f*cked up...

On the other hand, if somebody is afraid to put miles on a vehicle, it just looks like they don't know how to perform proper maintenance and service... just my .02

its a nice ride but a waste of money if you ask me. I never understood why people buy cars that they never want to drive. But its your money and your life so do with it what makes you happy!

That is the worst thing you can possibily do. Putting it on jack stands won't do anything to save the suspension, it will only ruin it in short order. The car would be better off sitting on the ground for 5 years without moving than sitting on jackstands with the suspension hanging for just 6 months.

If the tires are a concern, get some cheap wheels/tires to store it on. Never, ever let the suspension hang for long periods.

Or, it looks like they want to keep the car in top condition by avoiding bad weather and harsh condition commuter miles.

Just because a car sits a lot does not mean that the owner is unsure of how to perform proper maintenance. Not sure what would give you that idea. My Camaro has less miles for it's age than about 95% of the cars on this site. In my case, I'm far better about keeping on top of maintenance than most people are with their daily drivers. If you saw my maintenance routine you'd think I was crazy for being so ****.

i don't get this logic at all. so now just because someone chooses not to run up the mileage on their car it means they don't know how to take care of it?

i had a 1994 w/ 145k and a 2002 with 100k... do you think i managed to perform maintenance on those cars but at the same time was too retarded to figure out how to change the oil on my 2000 w/40k?
