like YOU are stupid and/or cocky when you tell someone that your kind of car stock actually made the same HP as the LS1 Corvettes did? Lol. I just thought it was funny how people that really didn't know much about our cars immediately look at me like I don't know what I'm talking about when i tell them that . Oh well... I'm not good at convincing people either . They just think I'm dumb .

LOL try telling a C5 Vette owner this. They look at you like you are on drugs. It is great, granit they are a little bit quicker then we are stock for stock, but when you tell them you have the exact same set up in your car as theirs, they look at you like you are full of ****. I love it, and yes ive gotten some dumb *** looks before.

That's not ****..
There are people around here that have never seen a newer Factory V8 Camaro..
When I was living in my Apartment a while back, these rednecks were asking how I did the Engine swap. I told them that it came with that LT1 Factory, they called BS on it..
Rednecks need to get out of the woods..

Now I have something a little different, so then an Engine swap question would be a little more relavent, but it still had a V8.

Yeah that does happen.I met some guys today thru a friend and its like they had never seen an ls1.I go over and they have 2 LT1 Camaros in the drive way.One is all "pimp my ride"20s and a tv screen.The other car was a monster though.Some crazy turbo setup,built 6 spd,nicely detailed engine.
So theyre all lookin at my car and asking all kinds of questions(granted I was on the southside of Phoenix and these guys were a bit rough around the edges)Anyways,Im sayin how different the LS1 and LT1 designs are and I felt like I was talking to 3rd graders.So I said how its basically a corvette engine and all hell broke loose.All of a sudden they want to race(The 20" rimmed lt1 actually wanted to race).
I couldnt believe how much they were into the LT1 and didnt know a lick about the LS1.

yeah C5 owners seem to think that there **** don't stink, not all of them, but the majority I have come across. But there are the few that start in the f-body world and move on to vette city that know the potential in our cars and show fellow respect

yeah theres a guy with a vette around here who though i had gotten a swap because the LS1 is a corvette motor ONLY... i had to do some explaining and he still though i was full of ****, but he said i probably had one of the coolest Trans Ams sence i did the swap i just looked at him and said thanks then left lol

I had some guys in a v6 firebird pull up at a light next to me and question what engine I had. I told them and they said they didn't know our cars came with v8's.

I guess he thought his 3.4l was the cream of the crop.

If someone doesn't believe they come stock with LS1's just show 'em the RPO code on the door "LS1".

I also hate when SOME LT1 f-body owners say: "yeah, it's got a corvette engine", and that my car has the same "corvette" engine as theirs.....hahahahaha

Man you guys live around some dumb people. Everyone that I hang out with knows about the LS1, LT1, L36, and which cars they came in. Although some people don't believe that I have a 3.8 in mine. They think that the car only comes with a v8. Nevermind the RS badge sitting there.

I gave up telling people that the ls1 first powered the vette then was planted in the f-body. They look at me like I am running a line of ****, of course there are plenty of people in Nashville who are in the know but many people who stop to talk about my car have no idea what or where the ls1 came from. So now I just tell those people its a sbc with some mods. Then when they say the can take me I give em a chance

Ya i have talked to people that dont even know what an LS1 is and they think the LT1 is the better version.. I also get looks cuz I have a single 3.5 inch mufflex catback so people assume it is a V6 lol then when i am driving or fire it up i get looks like how is that sound coming from that new car? (old school big cammed up muscle car sound) haha I love it
