Default Anyone else hate our steering wheels?

I really hate the steering wheel in my 02 Camaro, I like the one I had in my 99 much better. I don't give a rats *** about changing the radio station from my steering wheel. I'd like to steer the car with it thats it. Its wider, cheaper, and ugly as hell. Can I get an older style steering wheel from a 98/99 Z and put it in the 02? I'd like to keep the air bag is the reason I don't go with an aftermarket/race wheel.

I like my 01's steering wheel better than my 98's personally. Changing the station without taking my hand off the wheel is nice.

I also prefer the older wheel on my '98.

The '00+ Camaro wheel is the same general design as the Trans Ams and other Pontiacs have been using since '96.

So does anyone know if they can be switched? I can't see why they couldn't.

I'm fine with mine. I think there is another thread about swapping a 'Vette wheel into the Camaro.

I looked at that thread too, few people who wanted to do something like that but apparently no one has.

I like the Camaro wheel w/ the buttons. Did anyone ever notice that the Camaro's wheel feels thicker than the Firebirds?

my mom has one of these on her bonneville. Im not a big fan of them. I will sometimes accidently hit a button on there when im driving. It can get annoying when it happens. I didnt know they had them on the camaros though. There shouldnt be any problems swaping it. Although i'm not positive on that though because i've never done it. You should be able to, but i'd just check with others too.

The new ones are larger in diameter the actual "wheel" is thiner. It looks and feels much cheaper too.

I can't believe how many people actually like these steering wheels! Doesn't it feel as it belongs in a bus or at least a large truck/minivan not a sports coupe?
