Here's how I did it (see the attached photo).

Lift up the dash pad and use one of these connectors on the two wires leading to the daylight sensor in the dashtop vent grill.

It's that easy.

Exactly

I have had two TAs. The 01 had auto lights, and my current 02 doesnt.

I removed the dash panel where the stereo is. And pulled up on that black box that's directly behind the stereo. Removed the blue connector going into it and it works great.

Just wondering to the cut-the-orange-wire guys...

Why does it seem better to take the dash apart and cut a wire (thus making it a difficult and tedious reversal should it ever be needed) than to quickly and easily lift the dash to snap on a single connector that can be just as easily removed, as was shown in the photo above?

Curious about that thought process...

Not all cars have the sensor on the dash. My car does not as the headlights came on automatically when the key was turned foward. Some have the light sensor on the dash that turn them on when it gets dark. If you do not have the sensor on the dash cuting the wire to the light switch is the easiest way.

I live in france, i don't have the drl and auto headlight. Normally we have the parking light (white) in headlight but i have change it to move it in turn signal as yours.
The only problem is that i want my clear corner illuminate all the time...
Could you explain me how it work you drl. Maybe i have just to buy the component at the rear of stereo?

The misinformation in this thread is absolutely amazing!!

ALL f-bodies with automatic headlights (Camaros and Canadian Firebirds) have a sensor in the dash.

Cutting the orange wire at the headlight switch works only for Camaros. If you do that on a Firebird you will disable all of the running lights (tail lights, fog lights, marker lights).

It is always best to make electrical modifications with the least side effects and cutting of factory wires possible. The best way to make this modification is the same way that GM themselves did it for US Firebirds - they shorted the two sensor wires together so that the DRL module thinks it's daylight all the time. The easiest way to do that is with the Scotchlock connector as Mr Incredible posted. It's even easier than unplugging the DRL module (behind the radio) without any of the side effects. It's also easier (and smarter) than cutting wires.
