WOW!!! Glad you and your passenger are okay, its a miracle you didn't get killed.

Talk to the highway department or somebody about getting a guard rail there. I'm sure you're not the first person to fly off that cliff, and you're a lucky one that you walked away.

When I used to live in cali, I found there were A LOT of roads in the hills and what not that curves would come up quick and had no guard rails to speak of. While the speed limit was alright for the situation, all it takes is a bit over, some fatigue, a distraction, wet roads etc to find yourself overshooting the curve.

Heck I recall a highway leading to the coast that had curves for a good 6-7 miles of s runs all going downhill. At night it looked like you were playing chicken with the oncoming traffic.

Glad you lived through that... count your blessings, get new car (or that one fixed) and enjoy life again cause you got a second chance there...

Glad your okay. These california hills can be tricky sumbitches. I noticed you have your "Camaro" dash plaque in the middle in between the the switches... I thought I was the only one who had thought of that... Good luck finding a new car.

Glad you and your passenger are ok! It's always sad to see such a beauty wrecked but the car is replaceable and you and your friend are not.

That would be some terrifying stuff right there. Just imagine if that had been somewhere in Colorado with like a 10,000 ft. drop off.. and yes, they have them there because I've seen them.

Glad to see that you made it out alive.

So what kind of tickets did you get? Cops like to add inslut to injury. If you have every seen my SS vs. Beaver post in the Special Edition Vehicles forum you know what I mean.

I never post on these "I wrecked my car posts", but there are a ton of posts on here of people that have wrecked their cars. Not gotten wrecked, wrecked their cars. You know it sucks, but if I did it I would not be looking for sympathy.

This is exactly why our insurance rates on these cars are jacked. And I don't understand the bannings when you are opening yourself up for bashing by posting this in the first place. Looks like he posted cause he wants to find a way to sue GM to me.

Good thing you made it thru alive, it is a testament to the body structure on these cars. But, driving on the handling edge on that road was a calculated risk resulting in possible death.

WOW, that's a bad wreck man, glad to hear you're okay though. I've had incredible luck avoiding accidents (on the street anyway) though I've been in some nasty ones on the track. gavspurpleZ, if I ever went airborne, I imagine the thoughts going through my head would be like Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights: "I'm flying through the air. This is not good."

Damn man.. both of you are lucky to be alive! Good thing you are OK. on your next car I think a cage would be a good idea if you frequent the twisty mountain roads.
