dirty fuel filter

Default dirty fuel filter

this was the crap i found in my fuel filter, dont have any idea when it was changed last, it looked like oil to me. by looking at this , is it time for plugs not the rocks just the bad black coler

this is exactly why you should be changing it more often.

But now you realise how easy it is and can do it once a year from now on.

ive only had the car since january, dont know the last time it was changed, so is once a year a good time or shuld it be done more often

yea once a year is probally overkill but its better to be safe then sorry, I think most of the time they recommend changing it every 30-50 K miles

I change mine once a year. better safe than sorry. it would be bad news to have the car go lean because of a clogged fuel filter, especially if you are a spraying or Forced induction.
