Default Too high milage for N20?

So I have 101,000 on my 00'. It has a cam, 3400 stall, LTs, LS6 intake, all the bolt-ons, Comp 921 springs, Crane Lifters, and all the rest that goes with the cam. I think it has too many miles on it to spray it with say a 100-shot. I just curious what everyone else thinks? The motor has been well taken care of, and currently runs strong.

oh on the other hand, i dont want to spray mine with 111k on it.. however i'd be in the same boat if the car only had 50k, etc.. nitrous scares me, as much as i want to have it. lol

I'm at 112k and getting ready to spray and alot of others have sprayed cars with 100k+. If your car has been maintained than it should be fine.

test the compression on each cylinder before even considering.

that's what i figured, i mean if cars in great shape (well maintained) then it shouldnt be any different then 40K besides a little more ware and tear if much at all depending on driving

Race, Break, Fix, Repeat.

If the engine is in good shape, it should be okay. Just make sure it is hooked up right and tuned properly. A compression test isn't a bad idea either. But anything can happen in racing. Your call.

for a conservative shot it should be OK. i wouldnt throw a 150 shot on a 100,000 mile engine.

111K on mine and hooking up a kit as we speak. I will be well above my stock bottom ends rating on the 150 shot regardless of mileage, i guess if it blows I will move on to bigger and better engines.

stop being a baby. LOL. just messin with ya. Look if it blows then thats one more reason to rebuild but BETTER! I was fine sprayin 125 on mine a few times. Just MAKE sure to have all the safety equipment like fule pressure regulator window switch ect. that way u can shut the nitrous off befor you hit the rev limiter. Nitrous and no gas means split piston. trust me I know!

A better question I think is..can you afford to replace the engine if it pops. If you can..spray away, if you can't..I would risk it..anything can happen.

My buddy had a 1996 LT1 Trans Am with over 100k on it. He blew the motor a couple months after he bought it and he wasn't even the one that used nitrous, the previous owner did. Spray at your own risk...

It will probally be fine, but I would make sure you either have the funds or another car IF somethin were to happen.... Theres always that IF which sucks and the reason why I dont have any N20 b/c my car is my DD and I cant afford to replace it or get another DD until after college... So yea College FTL!!! LOL

I'm just getting out of college, and the biggest reason I don't want to spray is that this is my DD and I don't want to spend money I don't have on rebuilding the motor if it blows. After I get to where I'm going and become established I plan on doing an iron 408 built for nitrous. I was just curious what others though. For right now I'll just say no.

I have similar plans once I graduate with an engineering degree (2010) and start working. Around 2015 the iron 408 goes in
