I got one from a company in Quakertown, PA. It is a class I hitch rated to 2000 lbs I believe. Obviously the F-Body isn't set up to tow that much, but as shown by the previous post with the white SS can tow a small boat, and certainly a bicycle.

I have since sold the trailer and don't need my hitch any more.

If there is any interest, I'd be happy to put it up for sale in the classified section. I paid $150 for the hitch, mounting hardware, drawbar and pin as shown in the attached image. The mounting plates are a little different than the ones shown in the picture.

Step off the ignorant stump for a minute. The drivetrain is plenty stout to tow just about anything. They use the same transmission in 1/2 ton pickup trucks, and those have a lot less hp.

The weak link is the rear suspension/chassis. The rear suspension is designed for handling, not a huge tounge weight. Same thing with the mouting points on the trailer hitch, it doesn't use a 1/2 inch thick point on the frame rail like a truck.

Not to be an *******..but take the time to open your eyeballs and read my Sig..you will see why I said that.

And I said that as a joke, cause with that big Engine I am running a built 4L65E that came from a 2005 Silverado 1500, which is a 3/4 Ton Truck, with a SS3600 Stall.
I have enough Torque and capability to pull some serious ****, but as mentioned, the suspension wouldn't handle it, nor do I have the weight on the rear to use the power that I have.

On top of that, give me a Stock 4L60E from that half-ton Truck and let me drive it for a day, I betya $5 it wouldn't last the morning..

period. thats it.
THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one.

"Scream and Fly" used to do it all the time...

Here's his quote, and picture!

"Ah, the Camaro is the best tow machine I ever used. And trust me, nobody tows with a Camaro as much as I do. I do 2800-mile round trips, towing boats all the time. Yes, in overdrive too. 80 MPH, and I get 20 MPG too. My car now has 120,000 miles and I never had a problem. I have Draw-Tite and it fits perfectly between my Borla.

If you want detailed pics of the hitch and how it installs, let me know."
