Smile Where to look for a LS1 F-body other than this site?

Hi. Ive been browsing this forum and have learned allot from the technical sections and feel that I'm ready to buy an LS1 F-body (specifically a Camaro).

I have searched the for sale section on this site, auto trader, eBay and craigslist.org and need to open my options up a little more.

Where would be a good place other than the above listed to find what I'm looking for? From experience I have found forums to be the best place, so if it isn't against LS1techs rules to mention other forums, then please do.

Note: I as it says in my signature, I'm willing to buy a car with a blown motor or even a roller and replace the engine / transition.

Thanks

whats your location that would help. Google your local area for car clubs or better yet for ls1 cars.

check out carsdotcom those are all the certified cars in your area. Their ok, they dont have a good "garage" though. Autotrader is the best in my opinion though, you just have to be patient and the right one will show up

After 15 months of searching, I found my 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (completely stock) with 48k miles (this was 2.5 years ago by the way) for around $10k. Guess where...

I just bought a 98 z-28 m6 on Friday that I found through autotrader. Carmax online is another good site for Camaros, but their Trans Ams are kind of overpriced. You can check their stock nationwide and have it shipped to your nearest carmax for a fee.

autotrader.com is the best place to find them in any area. Craigslist.com is also good. I've bought a few through both.

autotrader is tops for me but i also searched not only my local papers website but that of news papers from surrounding areas. and outta state where i had family and friends who could check the car out. i figured out shipping i could afford for a certain radius. from me (NE Tenn) to chicago down to houston would cost about $700 to ship. it was an easy price to negotiate if i found a car i like from this far away. and the bank was willing to finance that smaller amount on top of the car. good luck.

Driving around to the local car lots aren't the best idea for me as they are far apart.

There are other websites than this one?... anyway I found my car in an Autotrader magazine that they have in gas stations, grocery stores, and what not. It makes it real easy because all the camaros are listed together. And actually my car wasn't listed on the Autotrader website but it was in the Autotrader magazine. Best dollar I ever spent.
