Default Bought a Z06, now I don't like it...suggestions??

Well 2 days ago I bought a red 01 Z06 w/ 26000 miles. I'm kinda of regretting my decision to purchase it and I actually miss driving my TA, which I still have but is for sale. Does anyone know a way I could get the dealership to take back the car without taking to much of a loss?

It depends on your state laws, and teh dealership themselves. Look over your paperwork and see if they have a 'grace period'. Here in CA, they don't have to offer it, but many do. It may cover grace periods on the back of your loan/sales docs. Around here the grace period is only 7-10 days....so, might want to look into it quick.

Or, you could try to sell it private party instead of your TA.

Just out of curiousity why do you not like it as much?? I would see what the dealership can do first, and if they cant do anything, sell it yourself and you never know, maybe you could break even or make a few off it. I would take the TA off the market if I were you.

+1.. are you sure your not just not giving it a chance since its alot of money? (I'm assuming the TA is paid off and now your making a payment on the Z06), or is it something you geninunely don't like?

You have a 3-day recission period to cancel on any contract. I would go there. They will tell you that you can't do that but they're just going to do anything to keep you in that car.

How the hell do you want a Trans Am back after owning a Z06? Seriously, what are you smoking?

this is true.. UNLESS.. you signed a form stating "We offer NO grace period".. which they typically NOW do to prevent joyriders.. and people that "buy" a car, drive to vegas (used to happen all the time in CA, thats why the state gave them the option to offer NO Grace period).. then come back and return the car... especially sports cars..

because then they technically HAVE to sell the car as "used".. its no longer new since there was a signed purchase contract on it..

good luck

LOL, I'm not smoking anything. Its an awesome car and its got way more potential then a TA ever will. Its just the fact that my TA is paid off, and already has a lot of mods. I just picked up a huge payment for a car thats totally stock and isn't all that much faster than my TA. So im not really gonna have any money to mod the Z06 for a long time.

Why do people criticize so much?...I mean, for those of you that drool over a Z06, how many of you have spent serious time behind the wheel. I used to hear it all the time after I sold my Cobra...WHy'd you keep the mach..cobra's are sick.....well, none of those people drove a Cobra everyday and had to deal with the heavy *** clutch in traffic.

The OP wants to get rid of it..so what?....

(give it here) - LOL

You will like it. I had buyers remorse the whole time I was going through the sale process of buying my camaro. I was in and out of freakin and feelin ok for a while. Now alls well. I think youll end up liking it. Now sell the TA and drive a beater K-car everyday and youll really appreciate it.

I had SERIOUS buyers remorse after buying my SS, I always kept thinking why did I spend all this money? Is it worth it? Is M6 a bad idea?

Now when I'm driving around town and people are looking... all I do is

I would say keep the Z06, you will end up loving it.

But if you don't like it THAT much, then you could probably sell it on the market and not lose much if any.

I paid 34000 for the Z06. If I had to guess I would say the system in the car is worth at least 10,000. I would let it go for 33,581. (I paid 34,581) Lemme know if your interested, I can snap some pics. I can't bring myself to put my TA on ebay even tho I have to.
