That's hot, I don't understand how these cars were outsold by the blue oval. These cars were monsters in their day. The blue oval was weak and looke like a regular car. Maybe the f bodies were too futuristic and beautiful for regular people.

I don't think I ever saw either one but the Z commercial I would have been in 6th garde and the TA one I would have been in 8th grade so it was a few years before I started driving.

In the land of commercials, it is quite clear that Firebird > Camaro.

Keep in mind that more than half of all Mustang sales are to women. The V6 Mustang is the cash cow, the GT is just fluff. The F-bodies never seemed to have the same cross gender appeal. I found a few commercials for V6 F-bodies featuring chicks driving, you can see that GM tried, it just never really caught on with the ladies apparently.

The Z28 commercial is the one I remembered too. There was also a V6 Camaro commercial I remembered with a chick passing a truck, but V6's are so I left that one out.
