Default Looking to sell my TA??

Well I've decided to sell my Trans Am and buy a C6 vette. The problem is....i really don't know what to ask for it. I paid 13k for the car but have put about 8-9k into it. I know you don't get everything you put into it but??? So i figured i would post up everything with some pics and get some opinions.
OK.....It is a 99 with 120k miles. Most of these miles are from driving on the interstate just cruisin. The motor runs excellent, no leaks, the oil is changed every 3k with mobil1, The rear end has moser axles with 4.10 gears, t/a performance cover, full bmr rear susp, subframe connectors, front sway bar, suncoast ram air hood, custom cai, underdrive pulley, longtube headers no cats and magnaflow exhaust with corsa clones, strut tower brace,160 stat, chrome and mirror accents, blue headlights and fogs, ls6 clutch, flywheel, master cylinder, b&m ripper shifter, tuned with hp tuners, crossdrilled/slotted rotors, c6 zo6 18x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears with bfg kdw fronts and bfg drag radials rear, custom heated two tone leather seats, floor mats, blue led dash lights and interior, blue suede t-top shades, pioneer head unit with pioneer speakers. Almost 90% of upgradeds was bought 6-8 months ago. I have won two trophies, 2nd place at f-body gathering a few months ago and 1st place at local car show a few months ago. And i know this doesn't add value but Scott Settlemyer signed the engine bay! Any help would be great. Thanks

that thing looks great man, if i was looking for one in excellent condition like what yours appears to be i would offer you 15-16... maybe more if i had alot of cash but i think that sounds reasonable. doesn't matter how much blood sweat and tears you put in it you can get it back, but being the color combo helps out alot. i'de look closer to 16K

General rule is that mods add zero to the valve of the car unless the buyer wants them. Look up trade in and start from there.

I understand all the money you put into it but a vehicle is not an investment and you shouldn't expect a return on it.

Well, it's a real problem to sell a car like that. If you look through the for sale forum, you'll see what I mean. You can sell a stock or crappy car A LOT, LOT easier. The bank is only going to give miles+year KBB value, so you're only dealing with people with cash. People with cash might be looking for Vettes.

You do that much work to an Fbody, its either going to stay in the family or someone's going to get one hell of a deal.

You made your bed. It's a damn fine looking one, but now you're sleeping in it.

good luck.

i'de say 15-16 just because of how clean it is. it's a white WS6 with white interior. i don't know about you guys but i don't see very many of them driving around as i do a plain jane red, black, blue like us. 12K is way to low and i personally wouldn't sell it for that unless i NEEDED the money. blue book doesn't tell you anything about these cars because honestly people will pay what they want with these. i got mine for 13K with 60K on the clock. looked brand new

Also don't think i'm saying you're sitting on a gold mine, but some people want that car more then a plain jane one. on a site like this, good luck with getting alot. but if you park it somewhere or ebay it i guarantee you will make a tad bit more then 12K

It's a 99. There's no way in hell he'll get more then 12 for it. No one will pay big money for a 99. If it was an 01 or 02 they would.

I'd say about $11K. It's really sharp, but the year and miles will hurt the sale. I couldn't even get a decent offer on my Z28 when I went Corvette shopping, so I kept it and bought a Z06 anyway.

Damn, is a beautiful looking T/A..very tastefully done..unfortunately I wouldn't hold your breath on getting more than 12k just bc of the miles and the year. Unless you hold out for that guy looking for this exact T/A or a collector of nice T/A's you're gona take a hit. I would keep it and save for that C6

I only got 12,800 for my 2001 SS with only 66,000 miles on it. It was cammed and had all the bolt ons. Those miles would kill you. You would prob have it up for sale for months if you were asking anywhere over 10k BTW I sold my SS to get a Vette also Good Luck
