The most a K&N filter netted in a magazine test a few years ago was 2-3 hp. If you can feel that, then you have one super-sensitive behind I would assume that most aftermarket filters would fall under this category.

Sacrificing less filtration for more air flow isn't worth 2-3HP.

or it could be that the old filter was so clogged it made a bigger difference. When I took out the paper filter in mine after I bought it it was black, when the K&N went in I felt a huge difference on the *** dyno

you know what, i have a k&n filter in mine. when i first got it the filter was black, with dirt all over it. all i did was slam it into the ground and a pile of dirt came out, i felt a reasonable amount of power from this

And this has oh so much to do with air filters?

For what it's worth, the blue & orange 'bird was done in Illustrator (not photoshop). I change my sigs a lot, so don't worry.

ya i took out my k&n and put a stocker paper element filter in.
it was cheaper and faster than cleaning my previous owner oil SOAKED k&n

maybe ill clean it soon and throw it back in.
bah, prolly not.

in my book a filter is a filter
a different air filter is not going to win a race.
unless the old one was packed with dirt.
