my ss sits in the garage and gets out maybe once a week or when i go on a road trip.

my daily driver is a 2004 chevrolet impala (company car). no risk for dings or fender benders for my fbody. funny thing is this morning i got side swiped on the freeway by a crusty old van (sticker advertised: pagan lesbian with another sticker that read "plants and animals are dying to make room for your fat ***"). this girl cut over into my lane while i was passing her (my front wheels were already past hers). she admitted fault.

you people sure you want to be driving your fbodies around with these kinds of drivers? sure now you say they're not the most expensive, most exclusive, or particularly collectible rides... but when all we have is the zeta chasis, you'll miss your fbody.

[QUOTE=Jordan S.;7883708]Since the day I got it to where it is now. Its becoming a bitch to drive it everyday and I enjoy regular cars more than I do my hot rod sometimes.

Hell yea me too, Ive been driving mine daily for 2 years now. I sometimes wish I just had a regular car. Im always having to worry about where to park, getting pissed if it rains, and having people trying to race me all the time.

i was daily driving mine till i go cut off into a wall. now its just me and my truck till the z gets ready and when that happens it goes into the garage. too much to risk with that car. at least with my truck if someone tries to do that again i can just push them into a wall and run off like that poor bastard did to me. didnt mean to vent. so i guess just ummm disregard that. hahaha

That's so true, my DD got rearended a few months back by an unlicensed girl driving her boyfriends truck. I was pissed but then when I realized that could have been the SS I felt somewhat relieved, the car owners insurance paid up thankfully. The SS is accident free so far, hopefully it will stay that way.

I suppose you could classify mine as a DD. But I only drive it on nice days. Otherwise I drive my truck which is my "beater" (06 Hemi Ram QC)

Mine has been my dd ever since I bought it in 04,the only that sucks is I hate to see the miles go up but at the same time our cars are meant to be driven. I don't have to worry about the Snow where I'm at but, I have no problem driving my car in the rain...lol

Anyways, how many of you guys use your f-bodies as daily drivers and never had a problem??
My Fbod was a daily for the first year I owned it and it was great. Not a single complaint. Just watch for cops and don't drive like an asshat and you won't have problems. They get great mileage (if you're light on the gas) and are very reliable if you take care of them. Yes, a civic would be notably cheaper but it's certainly no Fbody. I love my car and wouldn't trade it for even a vette (I've had the chance) but that's just me

If you drive like an ***, gas, tires, and clutches will get expensive real quick. These cars are good in the rain for sports cars and won't give you a problem if you RESPECT them. And yes, it does hurt watching the odometer go up. But... 103.5K miles and still running flawlessly.

car payment 450- insurance 100- 550- Cant justify spending 550$ a month to let her sit..People tell me to get a daily driver all the time.. but what isnt daily driver about any of our cars. if none of us wanted to daily them theyd all have a slick and a big gear IMO.. Daily it and take care of it. my car get washed every other day if not more. i drive it in rain and everything.hell it see the roads in the wonter. gets washed before it goes in garage at night but heyits a car. there more out there

Nobody tries to race me anymore so its no fun at all. Why drive it if no body tries to race. And then when I try to race they act like I'm a dick head because both us know whose going to win, but I would get more enjoyment out of losing than winning. I just love bad cars and it would be a sick *** car to leangth me. I'd enjoy the hell out of getting beat on the street. LOL
