I daily drive mine to school and work. I would like to have a 4 cyl car to use but I already have 2 vehicles with my '05 Tahoe. I use my fbody more cuz I think it's more fuel efficient than my truck. Damn Tahoe has a 5.3 n 24s on it n is heavy as hell. I've thought about buying a used sports bike to daily drive since they're even more fuel efficient that any POS 4 cyl. car.

Mine was for about a year or two and it was great. Are your winters bad? That would be the main concern IMO. Here in CT we get hit hard, and with all the sandbags loaded in the truck and all-season tires, that car was NOT moving. That's the only problem, but then again it all depends where you live/your winters, etc. Rain was no problem for me, I drove it on bad tires in horrible weather. Respect the car and don't abuse it and you'll be fine.

I only put 2500 miles on my car and i have had it for over a year now. I have a 96 Silverado that i drive daily. The Z has only been in the rain once since i got it. Makes it easier to keep clean.

DD my 00 trans am, 40 miles round m-f and probably a couple hundred each weekend. I bought my car because I love to drive her, not to look at her, so other than salty icy roads, id take her through anything. Theres nothing more sad than a beautiful car that doesnt get driven enough. So with the rising price of gas, i choose to feed my car before myself so i hope she takes care of me just as well.

My '99 M6 Z28 was my daily driver for three years, Indiana winters included. Thankfully, I picked up my '94 Blazer to take some of the load off my car. I had no problems with my car as the daily driver, and mileage was pretty good considering my heavy foot (30 mile commute, about 24 mpg, mainly city miles), but I really like keeping the miles off my car. I know, you buy them to drive them, but I prefer keeping the miles low, and enjoying an occasional weekend cruise in it. To each their own.
To answer your original question, a Camaro would do fine as a daily driver.

I don't DD either of my Camaro's. Before I bought my first Powerstroke in '05 I drove the '99 daily during good weather and had a '97 Escort wagon as a winter beater. I also bought an '02 WS6 new and drove it daily. F-bodies are great cars and make good drivers. Although I don't DD either of my cars I wouldnt hesitate to if my truck took a crap on me. I enjoy them more as project and weekend cars. I put about 5000 miles on them together per year.

mine has been daily driven since i got it over 3 years ago, and it's been a great car....no problems at all....it will also continue to be my DD until i get it paid off, then it will be time for me to buy a cheap beater car/truck that i can drive while it's down for mods
