12 sec camaro in the mustang mag? Does anyone have the article online of evan smith running 12.8s in the stock ls1 camaro? I have searched and searched, here and with google with no results. I have some people that don't believe its possible, they are ford guys, so I figured this article from a mustang magazine would be the best to show them

I really appreciate the effort. Although, these morons are absolutely retarded, and I'm afraid if it's not their own magazine (muscle mustangs and fast fords) they will discredit it.
Another reason I like this article SO much, is because they also say that mustang owners will be getting a face full of tail lights if they race an LS1 camaro. I just think that's badass.

WellI'm not gonna participate in Mustang bashing since I own one..however I will admit the LS1 is an awesome powerplant. All that said I read that article but I couldnt begin to tell you what year it was even printed...
But I'll agree those times are possible(mostly because people in mags like that can drive pretty darn good)

My car went 12s with only a lid on my first time ever driving it at the track, I had it for about 1 month when I went, so it's not only mag people that can get it done.
But lets keep this thread on topic, all I want to do is find the article

damn the base price for a z28 was only 21000 man thats only afew hundred more than a base new civic SI. and let me think low 13's to high 12's or low 16's to high 15's

Well I'm not trying to bash mustangs, they are bashing us. I want to prove them wrong. We told them about a basically stock ls1 car my buddy has with a muffler and no cats running 12.8s this past weekend, and they said it had to have a stroker kit in it
My car went 12s with only a lid on my first time ever driving it at the track, I had it for about 1 month when I went, so it's not only mag people that can get it done.
But lets keep this thread on topic, all I want to do is find the article

I didnt say you were bashing, I jsut thought the thread was headed that way.....anyways...
Also I didnt mean the mag people could ONLY get it done.....they just happen to do it more than us average joes...that said my buddy ran 12s ALL DAY in his bone stock 02 WS6...
