Headlight in the oven?

When doing the whistler mod what did yall set the headlight on while it was in the oven?

I put some 2x4s on the rack then sat the headlight on top of that. I used kryola or something like that from walmart, thats where I got the clear coat as well. They turned out ok for my first time doing it, but I still don't have them on my car

i set the headlight on the oven rack with nothing under it. if its not going to melt from the temperture its not going to melt from touching the oven rack ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
i used a satin/semi gloss spray paint from walmart, dont remember what brand. look on the can for what the paint will adhere to.

I just did mine yesterday. I sat them right on the rack, 200 is not hot enough to melt plastic. I have to redo mines however, I put too much silicone and it seemed through the inside.
I really like them for being my first time.

I know your going to hate this but, do a search. Only for pics, I think there is a write up somewhere but as a Firebird owner it doesn't apply to me. I believe to pull the outer lense off and paint parts of the inside to kind of make it look kind of like a projecter style.
