What is your MPG?

I couldnt care any less if you believe me or not, so what's the point of doing all the homework to show you something I see myself? You can't get it? Sucks for you I guess

I was pulling down 32mpg on the back home from the track after trapping 118mph last year That was with the stock 3.42s, stock 16" wheels, factory LS1 brakes, and aluminum driveshaft and going a pretty steady 75mph with a burst to 110ish once.
This year I was getting 27-28mpg with the Ford 9" and 3.89s, 17" chrome ZR1s, C5 brakes up front, and steel driveshaft. Varying speed between 75mph and 110mph depending on how fast the guy I was following was going Only other difference this year was the addition of the FAST90 over the LS6 last year.
A/C on the whole time for both of these examples
224/228 .641/.646 110LSA (Patrick G original "torque" cam)
"Stage 2" CNC'd 5.3 heads (CR 11.1:1)
Pacesetter LTs/ORY and Hooker cat-back
LS6/FAST90 intake (last year/this year)
30# injectors
Speed Inc tune
6th gear
Couple years ago my buddy got 30.5mpg with 4 people in his car on the way down to the Corvette Museum. Went 420 miles on a single tank with some gas left over. A/C also on the entire time. Cat-back only '97 Z28 LT1/T56.

1999 M6 with 71K miles:
16-18 city
24-27 highway
I'm still stock, but have a heavy foot. The highway mpg could be higher, but whenever I get a visibly clear stretch of highway...

I got about 29.5 on the trip to vegas a few months ago. 75ish just cruisin in 6th gear.
I may be willing to take you up on that. Next year... Even though I wasn't quite at 30. I don't know about where you live but here they oxygenate the fuel from november-february or march and my mpg takes a serious hit. I bet I lose 3-5 mpg because of it. Last winter my car got 12mpg in the city

I just filled up the tank and stored the car. I drove 21 miles on 2.3 gallons of gas. Needless to say my mpg is pretty retarded considering i don't drive hard and the car doesnt see past 2-2500rpms.

Drove to Florida and back with stock car except for Chokemaster cat-back and got 28.8mpg. Hwy avg is around 26 while in town is around 14.
Have not paid much attention after bolt-ons and tune, I'm sure it's better now. I'll post mixed driving #'s at next fill up.

does everybody get better milage as the tank goes down? When I check my MPG when I'm filling up, I've noticed that the less miles I've driven on the tank, the worse my milage is... doesnt make much sense to me... Maybe it's just the uber-shitty winter gas?

i would be happy if someone could prove they get 30 mpg, that would be fantastic, but without proof i just cant believe it. my grocery getter is a nissan sentra 99 auto, that i only get avg 31, (not now in winter) the best gas milage car i've owned was a 1984 renault alliance stick, avg 35 city, 40-42 hwy only. i took many trips out west with that car. she really huffed and puffed trying to get up the mtns. also wouldnt run when temp was under 10 degrees above never could fix that.

I've only run 2 tanks of gas through the car since the LS1 swap (lid, MAC headers, cat-back, 6-speed, 3.23 gears) but I've been getting 25.5mpg on average mixed city, highway, and mountain road driving.
I'm not counting the very first tank of gas which yielded *12mpg* before I discovered an uncapped vacuum port on the intake manifold... oops.

I have averaged 32 mpg on my journey home from NewEngland Dragway. I takes roughly and hour and a half. I can make it all the way home on my bottom 1/4 of a tank. That is pretty damn impressive. I love that these cars get awesome mileage. My camaro averages better gas mileage city and hwy than my GTP. Thanks to GTP's 2800 stall converter they use from the factory. Thank god that thing locks up. but its great for burning the tires off.

somewhere around msg 75 i asked if anyone would step up and post their milage on the odometer when they filled up, then drive around and post milage plus gas receipt number of gallon including fraction, and then we on the web could do the math. i will be comfortable trusting a persons info if they do it this way and hopefully fill up at same gas station and even same pump would make me happy! thank you in advance.
