Bone stock 98 Formula with complete tune up: Mixed city/freeway with alot of spirited driving around 18mpg. Wish it was better. I will be driving all freeway soon for Christmas back home so I will see how she does on the freeway.

somewhere around msg 75 i asked if anyone would step up and post their milage on the odometer when they filled up, then drive around and post milage plus gas receipt number of gallon including fraction, and then we on the web could do the math. i will be comfortable trusting a persons info if they do it this way and hopefully fill up at same gas station and even same pump would make me happy! thank you in advance.
I've got nothing to prove by lying about my gas mileage. Sorry I haven't snapped a pic of my odo reading after a tank of gas The car's been put away now for about a month. Next time driven will be with the new motor and D1SC, but I don't expect highway mileage to change much as the new cam has 21* less overlap than my current cam. Depending on how well the car does next year, I might drop down from the 3.89 gear back to a 3.55 or the stock 3.42 for the 30+ again

42,500 miles, 2.73 gears....17.5 in town (mostly speed limit granny driving)...about 21-23 on the highway, no more than 70mph.....
Although my car is running a bit rich and is due for a spark plug and wire change

i would be happy if someone could prove they get 30 mpg, that would be fantastic, but without proof i just cant believe it. my grocery getter is a nissan sentra 99 auto, that i only get avg 31, (not now in winter) the best gas milage car i've owned was a 1984 renault alliance stick, avg 35 city, 40-42 hwy only. i took many trips out west with that car. she really huffed and puffed trying to get up the mtns. also wouldnt run when temp was under 10 degrees above never could fix that.
This is getting old...do you really think all these people are lieing about there mileage for bragging rights or something...do you think that many people don't know how to do basic grade school division..WITH a calculator? Like someone stated..if you aren't getting that mileage, then sucks to be you..
Get the stick out of your *** and accept that it is possible to get higher gas mileage than YOU and others get with a F-body..and if that stick is so far up there, and won't budge until someone "proves" to you, the only person who apparently knows how to do math ....I will be more than happy to take a picture of my mileage/gas receipt etc.. once spring comes around and my car is out of storage...and that is with my LT1 with 3.73's, which ONLY gets 29mpg which is worse mileage than my LS1 did...Hell, I'll even get a hold of the guy who bought my T/A that now has Full bolt on's and is STILL able to get 30+mpg on the highway.....but wait, his math must be wrong since your car doesnt get that kind of mileage..I mean most engineers have no clue how to do math

85% interstate/ 15% city I get 21 running it hard (I'm talking 135mph runs) and 85-90 cruising and half throttle launches and burnouts for no reason. I've never gotten worse than 20mpg in this car. I reset the trip meter and check it every fill up.
Driving it like a normal person I get 25-26 @ 70mph cruising.
