Default What is your MPG?

I have a 2002 a4 ws6 trans am and I while back I filled it up to see what my mpg was. I got 20mpg in the city then when I went on a trip I got 20 mpg on the highway. By the way I didn't floor it any when I drove around the city and I stayed the speed limit.

I drive in stop-and-go traffic to and from work with occasional open roads. I get 18.5 MPG on 93 gas.

Doing the speed limit I've seen 25-26 hwy and 18-19 city. That was with stock gearing and a M6 though.

havent been on a trip for a long time in my car.

i was gettin about 22 mpg around town before i did the heads/cam swap. now i get about 19mpg around town. no real highway driving for me, though I'd assme it would get better with the 6spd.

once i get 3.7 gears i'm hoping the mileage will go up a little bit!

my old heads/cam/3.73 gear 400 rwhp camaro would get 30mpg on the highway and 22-24 around town. not really sure why but i calculated it plenty of times and the speedo was calibrated (GPS varified my speed many many times).

whats your gears? if you have really low gears it'll hurt gas mileage. also depends on auto or manual. i have a great tune, only thing i can think of that would help my gas mileage so much

I get 26 highway with the non lockup convertor, and about 17 in stop and go traffic. Mixed driving my average is between 18 and 23 mpg, depending on traffic and such

When's the last time you changed the plugs, wires and fuel filter?

I drove my heads/cam/4.10 geared car on a trip this past spring. Running the a/c, and with some hills, driving between 75-80, it got 24.86 mpg. Just out messing around, it's only got under 20 ONCE, and that was like 19 mpg. I'm satisfied

I'm in the doubting Thomas camp. I see & hear the claims of 18 city & 29 highway, but I've never ever ever had a whif of that. My 2002 convertible M6 on 93 octane is 14 around town and 20-22 on the highway. No difference before heads/cam or after tune or after going from 3.42 to 4.11, or after the Kooks, or after the high flow cats or after the high flow cat back, or after the SLP lid, or new o2 sensors. Nothing has affected the mileage I get. Well, if I drive hard on a tank it drops to 10-12.
