GTO Guy I met a guy today at the petshop that owned a very nice GTO. We had a little convo regarding our cars and I asked him what mods he had done he told me all he did was a cold air intake, magnaflow, and a performance chip lol. I didn't want to be rude at the time but I told him as nicely as I could that he could get it tuned and I referred him to Futral but informed him that he would be very disappointed cause there is no chip. I might be in the monority but I get aggravated when people don't know **** about there cars. He also asked me if my car had a 350 in it cause his has a 380 ci ls2 and would smoke me. I guess he didn't realize that my car was modded even though I told him what I did to it. Sorry for it being so long.

Yeah.... I had to bring my car to some piece of **** local shop by my house (I.e. they work on mini-vans and nothing remotely performance ever). He kept going on how my car was "chipped" and wouldn't shut the **** up about it.
I corrected him and told him it was "tuned", but he shot back, "I've been in this business for a long time, and I know a chipped car when I see it"

Yup, I get that "chipped" question a lot. I do have a chip..... in my '92 truck. I try to explain that you don't "chip" these cars and that mine is custom tuned. They just give me a blank look.

i've got a chip on my door where someone opened their door into it. did i gain any horse from that because it did feel a little different afterwards.
The chip theory really pisses me off, people always ask me if i have a chip, and when i tell them i got a performance dyno tune they just look at me like im an idiot. someone actually had the ***** to ask me how i figured i got 30 horse from an oil change (tune)... idiots

lol they sell those motorvation chips at autozone!!! and i was in there a few days ago and i flipped the box over and the hp gains are ridiculous.
i remember at car club this dodge neon kid was telling me he gained 40 hp with 2 chips, i was like what hp numbers was the car pushin before "THE CHIPS" and he was like over 100...so i was like "so with 2 chips you made close to half the stock hp your car had" and the **** looked me right in the eyes and confidently said "uhh ya"..dipshit

now if you came up to me and pointed to your Duramax diesel behind you, and said you had gained 350 horse from stacked chips i would most definetly believe it.
