I made the jump from a 97' M5 Camaro V6 to a 2000 M6 Corvette based on looks, interior, handling and special *cough* magnet that came installed with it. For less than 1K you can slap some Z06 heads and any cam you want on a Non-Z06 and have Z06 type numbers.

Just because it can make z06 numbers doesn't mean it will perform the same, especially for $1k.

Well looks/weight aside I don't know how far off. Mine is a z51 and I think the only difference is the rear sway bar and the rear brake vents. Don't quote me on it I won't pass myself as an expert. But FRCs are sexy as hell. I want one.

One performance difference is the tranny from a z06 is a mn12 which has higher gear ratios. I'm not sure about the sway bars though.
