It's a sweet ride, but with a couple grand into your TA, you'd easily beat that vette. Unless you're making the switch for just like the looks, I'd say stick with the TA.

Just my .02 cents

Don`t get me wrong i love my TA but i cream myself just about everytime i see a Vette lol. Its not anything certain yet i still gotta talk the wifey into it first and i gotta get a good trade on my TA cuz i still owe $11,000 on it yet cuz i just refinanced it last year to pay some bills. Plus its not gonna be easy with the wife since we got a kid on the way and shes been non stop cranky since shes gotten pregnant lmao. My TA still has pretty low miles on it yet 59,750 for being a 98 so i should be able to get a decent trade outa it and its still in near perfect condition minus a couple little rock chips on the passenger headlight. I`m gonna try my hardest to get it though.

Sounds like you've got your heart set on the vette, so go for it (at least you're not DOWNGRADING to a pony). I'm sure you'll love it. How will ride your newborn in the vette, they are 2 seaters?? at least in the TA you have the back seats.

BTW good luck convincing the wifey on the vette. Just tell her that once she starts with the contractions, you'll be able to drive her to the hospital in style!!!

Seems like too much money for that Corvette, but low miles helps.
IMO, new hood, new wheels, & other new mods on your current car would be a better option for me.

Wow. That thing is REALLY expensive. It's a 98 and auto for 23k? Something is wrong... Heck for 3k more, you could get yourself a Z06!

For once I think Black Mamba is right. There are better deals out there.

Nice Vette but i did the same. SOld my 01 SS in September and brought my 00 FRC vette. My car has not one scratch on it for $18,000. That Vette is WAY overpriced . If you decide to get it you better talk them down to ALOT less than that selling price. Also like stated above you can get a 01-02 Z06 for $24-$27,000. I have see n alot of these threads lately so here is my 00

Wow you have a very nice Vette man. Ive been looking for a vette now for about a year and so far this is the best deal ive been able to find. I looked at a 98 ZO6 clone this past summer with 148,000 miles on it and it needed a new windshield and they wanted $19,000 for it. These cars aren`t exactally easy to find in my area so i think thats why i`m having such a hard time finding one priced well. I do plan on talking him down on the price to. Ive been e-mailing him back and forth for a while now and i`m gonna take a drive there tommorow to look at it and test drive it so hopefully its worth the drive. I honestly thought this vette was priced pretty well though, how come you guys don`t think so? Lol nice comment on the wife, i think she might actually go for that haha the nearest hospital is quite a ways away.

Huh? '98 Z06 clone? That doesn't make any sense. To be even a clone, it would have had to have been a '99+...

I didn`t meen a direct clone just like the ZO6 badging and wheels and he got the rear quarter Vents from somehwere. It looked really nice but just wasn`t worth the price to me. You could tell the car had been beat badly.

Well, I've been basing my corvette pricing on what they sell for over on corvetteforums.com. They seem to have quite a few, and usually for an 97-98 auto it's about 16-17k with 75k miles or so. Typically about 18-19k for equivalent car but a 6spd.

I`d kill for a vette in my area to be priced that well.

you could fly somewhere and drive back for a good car. there are people on here that flew across the country to get a tight f-body.
