The times that I don't warm it up, I just drive real easy until it's up to temp which takes almost no time. I like that about this motor. And the heat the thing blows is great, even too hot. Of course the drawback is the heat in the summer, but the ac works great too.

i live in orlando and have had my car only since July... it idles long enough to put in a cd and put my sunglasses on. I never get on it during the normal course of a day, so it never sees above 3500 rpm

I fire my car up and idle it for 30 secs just to be sure it has good oil pressure then leave taking it easy on the car until everything is warmed up.
Its better to warm the engine and driveline up evenly instead of letting it idle and only warming up the engine and driving on a cold trans and rearend. Especially if you drive the car in the cold weather.
