Bahaha my insurance alone is more than my 16 year old brothers, 21 year old sister (cobalt LT) moms (suburban 1500), stepdad (yukon XL) all put together I also have 9 violations, 1 suspension, but no technical points on my license.

I pay $104 a month for a "3.8l" firebird haha, If the insurance company knew I had an Ls1 now, it would be like some crazy $275 a month!!

im 17 with 2 tickets, full coverage.

You brought back my 2+ year old thread on insurance? Really? Why!?

I don't even have that car insured on that policy any more....moved it to a collector policy right after that premium.

My insurance company doesn't go by your engine... only by whether it's a sports car or not. My friend pays twice as much for his BMW 350i with a straight 6 as I do for my LS1.

This was the first time it's dropped in a couple years. Must be because the car is 10 model years old now.

BTW, that price is with State Farm. And I'm married, over 25, perfect driving record since 1998, and I've got a multi-car + multi-line discount.

Only thing boosting my rates at this point is living within 1 mile of Chicago. Once I move 40 miles away from the city, I bet the rates will drop another $10/month.

Funny part is, I'm now paying more to insure my '04 Cavalier! The bill for that one also came yesterday, it was $409.
Mine is $300 bucks for 6 months. Statefarm is a good company.

mine just dropped this month to $157/mo (6months). ill be 21 tomorrow, only vehicle, 1 accident in july 07 that wont count against me this summer (3yr deal). this time last year it was 230/mo so im happy. id like to get a beater or a bike to lower my rates even more, since i hard multi-vehicle policies drop big time.

State Farm is where it's at. I am 23 paying $90 a month for full coverage on the hawk (about $27 a month while in storage). I get multi car discount, good student discount (I graduated two years ago from college and they say it's still good!) , steer clear program discount (a joke!), and a homeowners discount that they gave to me when I spun off my parent's account and onto my own.

I have one ticket from four years ago for not completely stopping at a stop sign.

I bet low rates means if something happens, the insurance company will pay you on the cheap.
