Bought mine in Feb 2005 bone stock, and just finished up my H/C/I in Oct. 2007. Took about 2 1/2 years for all the mods in my sig with a 9" and suspension being the only things left that "need" to be done. Buying a house and having a kid put the mods for next year (2008) on hold for a while. So the 9" will have to wait at least till 2009. Roll racing for me.

Like others are saying modding these cars is an evolutionary process for most of us. I bought the '99 SS in May of '05. It was basically stock, LM and lid, until last fall when I threw a ton of parts at it and turned it into what it is today. I bought the '01 SS in March of '06. The cam and valvetrain went in June of '06. From there I have steadily chipped away at the long list of things I want to do to the car. I just ordered a 12 bolt for the car, Kooks LT's, Speed Inc. custom true dual exhaust, tubular k-member, 18X10.5 C5 Z06's in the rear, and a few other things. I want to get the suspension dialed in and then a little later in the spring a LSX 454 is going between the strut towers. In order to do that i'm selling the '99 SS to my dad...that way I don't go broke building the '01. The '99 Z28, my other winter project, will be leaving the garage in the spring to make way for another M6 SS to have around as a toy. Nothing crazy, just a lightly modded driver. Like most cars, my projects are never done. It really is a sickness!
