Just out of curiosity...
(Not really a "Wanted" post) but what is by far the cheapest LS1 F-Body that you have found so far?
Note: The body doesn't have to be perfect, just as long as the car is running and it has a clear title.

Id say the cheapest would be 4ish but that either goin to be super or just completely not takin care of. Ive seem some decent ones in the 6 range but those mostly had 150K+ miles, Id personally rather have a LT1 in great shape opposed to a ragged out LS1 which is why I got a LT1

I've noticed that Z's tend to be a bit cheaper, as opposed to Trans Ams and Formys. At least in my area. I've seen decent ones for about $6500 with about 110k on em, but thats the lowest so far. Just curious if anyone has seen cheaper.

Well I'm on both sides of the table here. I'd PREFER an LS1, due to the fact that SUPPOSEDLY, it's moderately difficult to extract power out of the LT, yet I haven't overlooked the LT1 either since they hold up to boost and spray better.
*Edit* Oh, and PJ, where did you manage to find one for so cheap? Lucky?

I bought mine 3 weeks ago for $5k flat. Was taken care of and engine had zero issues even with the 160k miles.
Only flaws are the faded paint and miles. Even the window motors work well. I'd say I got a good deal.

i would be really skeptical of any ls1 for less than 6 grand im not sayin there not out there just do your homework on them first, if you search hard and long enough youll find one i took my a couple months to find mine an 00 ss zero issues 6 speed 70,000 miles for 8,500 which is about 3k less than book value, i searched ls1tech ebay autotrader and cars.com multible times per day for months

I ran across an LT Trans Am with 81k miles for $4250 today. I'm going to try to push his price lower (I work as a sales representative). 6-speed, hardtop, bone-stock except "Silverline exhaust" (Never heard of it). Should I jump all over it or is it too good to be true?
I'm heading out to look at the car tomorrow.
*Edit* Only thing that worries me: the guy didn't post pics of the interior. :/

ide say deffinetly take a look at it, take a look under the car, check the vin number make sure all the panels line up right, check the fluids to see how well there taking care of it, and take it for a spin, if it feels like a good deal to you go for it, if you not sure about it after you check it out then just wait there will be more

I'm going to look at a 98 w/ 100k on it for $4000 is what it's listed at. It needs a new MAF a window motor and some other little stuff. If it's really the case, then I will be buying it.
