Very tru, people associate me with F-bodies, it is a lifestyle. Even though my SS and T/A are over 8 years old, they still put a hurting on all the new cars, I paid 12k for the SS, 14k for the T/A, did some mods, and it runs in the 12s all day. People still stare, its a legend, all these rice cars come and go, its a fad, mustangs are dime a dozen, nothing beats the LS1 f-bodies. The looks are clean and in my opinion look mean as hell to this day. The LS1 engine continues to amaze me at the abuse it will endure, and still run like a swiss watch. Parts are affordable, plentiful, it doesnt get any better in my eyes. In 30 years these cars will be on the auction blocks pulling serious $$$.

ya in my opinion the bang for the buck cant be beaten and even my friends who know nothing about cars say it looks mean as hell, and yes there are to many mustangs and riceers just come and go, one of the main things i like is unlike a mustang driving doewn the highway you dont see 4000 cars like yours, the ls1 was the most advanced pushrod engine of its time and for the price i beleive is still on top.

i think the real question iz...how long will these motors really go before they start losing power.

all given the fact that they are well maintained and everything! i mean we do heads, cam, and all kinds of stuff to these cars. so certain parts are new, and we break other parts in the process...

i guess its really hard to tell how long they will really last. just like the big question of when you 10 bolt will give out...

Take a look at my fquick in my signature. I paid $3600 with 122k for it and have around 10k total invested. I dynoed at 392rwhp and have since installed an 85mm throttle body, underdrive pulley and am installing a bigger cam this weekend and expect about 430rwhp when I am done. With the nitrous I am well over 500rwhp. Now if I bought a new car I wouldnt have enough money to do anything to it. Because I was in a rush doing some of it I did some stupid things, but all in all I am happy. It is strong as hell and with the LSx engine still being used there are plenty of aftermarket parts.

when i bought my camaro i paid 13k for it and it had 95k on it. went to the trck the next day and ran my buddy with an STI and beat him. he paid twice as much as i did. ive spent maybe another couple hundred for my exhaust set up and now he wont touch me. there right cars and like everyone is saying the aftermarket for these cars is ridiculous.

My LS1 car has 100,000 miles and just received H/C along with a few other things. Spray will be going on it soon enough. Take care of it, it'll last as long as you need it to.
