i was also looking at parts and planning what to do to it before i even got it, but then after downpayment, sales tax, a couple payments, licensing, insurance reality kinda set in, plan on lid, port TB, catback as soon as i can afford to at 17 with no job till summer![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
the first couple days i had my car i was amazed it felt like it was absolutely slamming me into the back of the seat with every shift, a month later ill say im used to the power but i dont think i can say bored by it, it still puts a smile on my face powershifting throu 3, or turning a cornerin and nailing it going sideways back and forth for a while, definetly helps since its winter so i only drive it like once a week maybe

LTs and TDs were ordered within a week, and that's only because I had to save a few extra bucks up. I had driven my friend's 02 a few times when I had my LT1 several years ago, and knew what I was going to do as soon as I got the damn thing. I almost wish I could just go back to stock and start with a clean slate all over again ![Rotflmao](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/rotflmao.gif)

I don't think I ever really get tired of it... I'm happy with my car no matter how fast it is. Sure I enjoy making it faster, but these cars are pretty fun in stock trim. I don't really wanna do a ton of maintenance on my cars, and I kinda enjoy that stock-ish drivability. I don't even drive them daily, but I still prefer them like that. My WS6 is bone stock and staying that way... and my Formula... I doubt it will ever see much past high 11's.

I don't even know how fast my Camaro actually is. It hasn't been to the track and it's got a knock code. My LS6 Intake is coming tomorrow and I'll have new knock sensors & a harness soon after. Then, we shall see. I've got 2.73s

For those who currently own their first or remember owning their very first LSx car, when did you start getting used to and eventually tired of the stock power and torque?
I know it's a ridiculous question, but I know a lot of us here are power hungry and have taken 350-400 bhp for granted. Besides, I don't believe in a such thing as too much power.
At age 18, my current Camaro is my first LS1 car. After 2 weeks of owning, I started getting used to the stock power. After a month, I have grown tired of it. Am I crazy?

My car was bought with a head/cam package already done. After about a month the power was manageable and I wanted more. In went the stroker motor with all the supporting mods. Now I am at 500 and it feels normal. I want more so I will either put a 150 kit to it or might save up for some FI.
I remember driving my dad's '94 z28 and thinking that it was the fastest car that I would ever drive.

I know mine was ok with me until I was around a couple of fairly modded cars and that really brought on the mod fever. Hearing cammed cars and headers/duals sure does screw up the stock car happiness. Hey, you've been around a couple of those lately and now here's this thread ![Devil](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_devil.gif)

I played that game with my GN and stuff just starts breaking as you add power and I have better things to do with my money. Take that money and invest it and one day I'll have any car I want. I like hitting the back winding/twisty country roads so I'm more interesed in dialing the suspension in. I'll probably add springs, sway bars, rims and tires, and a nice sound system and I'm done.

I bought mine as a stock unmolested 97 LT1 Trans Am. I got tired of the power farely soon, but after I put on the Longtubes, intake, and true duals, I am pretty satisfied for the time being.
I am planning on camming the beast in the next year or so depending on money.

When I had mine for about a month I was soo sick of stock power and have preety much been drving with it ever since, making it preety boring. I must add though there was no need to mod I have a suspended license. But now look at what I am doing in my sig.... preety soon here I wont be bored at all. Not to mention not long after I will be sliding a cam in there only from Vengeance.
