Best thing ever put into an F-Body IMO... I love them both my 87 camaro And 95 Formula have them and i wouldn'e give em up for anything... I say go for thr t-tops unless its an all out race car in that case hardtop would be better.. But since u plan on DD it get the T-Tops you wont regret it.. Mine btw do not leak, even if they did stil wouldnt bother me, cuz i love them lol..

Just an FYI. This is not the case. The SS never came standard with t-tops. Trans Am did, but never SS.

Wait, so can you take off the headliner part for the T-tops? I'd like to drive around being able to see through the glass.

When you bought one of these cars new, those sun-shades came in the trunk in a plastic bag. They attach to the glass with GM supplied velcro.

I keep the shades in place on my '98 car, but leave them off on the '02 car. Gives each car a different feel, which is nice IMO.

My '94 came without the shades (used), while my '99 came with the shades on. I didn't even know they made these shades until I bought my '99. I took those things off instantly though. Looking up through the glass is awesome, and the main reason I went after another T-top F-body.

In my opinion, T-tops are worth it. I love the open air feel of a convertible while retaining more body rigidity. The additional weight, however much that may be, is hardly noticeable, especially with my narrow *** at the wheel.

i wish i had the sunshades only once since i had the car and that was when it was too hot and i didnt want the ttops off because of that and i was on the highway for two hours. Would have been nice to really make it darker in the car.

Mine came with the sunshades but they had never been installed. About 10 years of the adhesive sitting in the car without being stuck to anything = bad adhesive stuck to the paper cover. I just haven't bothered putting them on.

I maybe took my t-tops off a handful of times last year. I always have the covers on as well.

T-tops are amazing. I bought my car as a hardtop since I got a great deal on it, but ended up converting it to t-tops. I take them off every chance I get, and my only regret was not doing the conversion sooner.

Mine are off unless it's raining or freezing. They're awesome. I get a couple drips that come through when I go through a car wash, but I just use a towel to wipe them up as they come through.

Leak in the car wash...only downside. They are off everytime i drive the car except when its raining. Prefer the look of t tops compared to a convertible for some reason.

i love ttops, i've had two fbodys, both had em, i wouldnt buy one without em! mine leak if i go through a carwash (touchless of course!!!) but other than that no problems and my car has 94k miles on it. i've never heard of ttops flying off cars when they are latched... altho my buddy was driving around in his 3rd gen and his father forgot to latch it, and it flew off at like 30mph.. amazingly though it didnt break...

cliff notes : ttops are friggin sweet
