my 2-year-old loves to say "i wanna go fast daddy" when we are in the camaro, and i jump on the skinny pedal. he then proceeds to giggle and grin. one day we were in my daily driver 4-cylinder camry and he says "i wanna go fast daddy", so i jump on it. 10 seconds later i hear from the back seat "we arent going fast, daddy."

My Dad and I always work on our cars together. He taught me everything I know. Thanks to him I've always been around cars and they have become my passion. Like father, like son.

Him... by many bus lengths. Its got a built aluminum head small block, a 4 speed, and 3.73's in a 12 bolt. Not to mention is pretty light. My T/A is completely stock pig with 75k original miles.

My son was 12 when I got the SS. Like the other stories he loved to ride in/work on dads car. Now he's 21 and drives a 400hp 71 Chevelle we finished building last summer. Damn they grow up fast!

I was out yanking the interior out of the 92 coupe I picked up and my fiance's daughter was right there beside me asking all sorts of questions, and helping me.....it was great.....and she loves the idea of putting the stock seat in her room as a chair lol

This thread makes me sad, my dad never really had much interests in cars other than getting good mpg and reliability so I never don't know how to do any of my own work.. Hopefully I'll get to take some classes and learn soon though.

heh my daughter always tells me to "go fast, but dont speed!" she loves picking out camaros and corvettes as we drive along. shes always calling out c5! or c6, ect, it makes me smile every time. and loves learning stuff about exhaust, and aerodynamics..AT 8 lol. she will ditch watching hanna montana just to help me wash the car. little hands are good for #8, and helping get the bolts set on window motors.

Whenever I'm coming home after school and I'm creeping through the neighborhood, all the little kids (anwhere from 5-14) will drop WHATEVER they are doing and will run to the side of the road and scream "REV IT UP!!!!" or "BURNOUT!!!!!!"
So, one day at the end of last summer I stopped in the middle of the road, told them all to stand back, made sure they all did, made sure their parents weren't outside, put it in second and blew away around 10K miles.
Those kids were cheering for probably an hour straight. I don't think anything has made me smile so wide.
