Stop flooring at every opportunity, or driving 20-50 miles an hour faster than the posted speed limit, and you oughta do better.

Lol drive as much free-moving highway as possible and lock up that converter as much as possible. That's about all u can do. Stalls kill MPG.

I might be going to a lower stall or even to like a 2k stall, cuz the whole slipping thing really sucks, would that make a "big difference"?

stall bad, 12 bolt not helping either but honestly your MPG is not terrible for what it is. If your that worried about it I would get it tuned and if still not good enough you'll have to shrink the stall. PUT A SIX-SPEED IN IT!

Not bad for the Mods in your sig.

BUT not to say you cant do things to help milage such as.... in no particular order...

SeaFoam treatment

Basic tune up such as fluids, sensors, and filters.

Drive it NORMAL. Meaning, slowing acclerating from a stop, get it into O/D asap and be gentle with the throttle. Too much of a percentage will kick down the trans and then bam, gas milage goes down.

Also in the PCM a good tuner can set the car up for a LEAN tune, from like idle to 2.5k have it run a very high A/F like 14-15 to 1, then when you go WOT it drops down to where you want it, maybe 12.8 to 1

I had this on my 383 LT1 and it made a huge diff for crusiing.

Get rid of the iridium plugs and get a six speed. I get 12 mpg city with my M6 if I keep it under 3k. :-)

just out of curiosity whats wrong with iridium? the big reason I was wondering about the mpg was because before the cam stall and rear i was getting 20-22 mpg bor city and highway, so 14 mpg is a big dip.

Mileage on a muscle car is subjective. To me, yeah your mileage is pretty bad, but then again I have a 2.73 A4 that is pretty much stock. I get around 20-22 depending on my driving.
The cam and stall aren't helping you, thats for sure. I'd look into a cheap beater car for mileage. Saturns can be had for under 1500 bucks all day long, and you can squeak 40mpg out of them.

Yep love my little L200. Gets 30mpg and really has no maintenance issues. Heck the owners manual says to only change oil every 6500-7500 miles.
